Story & Lesson Highlights with Angie Lonarc of Miami, FL

We recently had the chance to connect with Angie Lonarc and have shared our conversation below.

Angie, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Most of the time it feels like I’m walking a path but also wandering at the same time.
Like I know where I’m headed but I have no idea how I’m going to get there.
So I try to just focus on the step ahead for now, but I have a lot of certainty of where I’m going so it doesn’t feel like being lost. I’m being guided by my passion, music is my guiding force.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Angie Londoño, also known as Angie Lonarc. I am a musician, DJ and soon to be Producer.
I always say my goal as a DJ is to hypnotize the dance floor.
I like to create a space where people lose track of time and get lost in the present moment.
I’m really drawn to music that feels alive, slightly (or very) psychedelic, and has that emotion-meets-technology vibe.
Music has been my guiding force since I can remember, and creating musical journeys for a crowd has become my favorite form of art, it truly fills me with energy and passion.
Something unique I bring to my sets is embodiment and immersion: when I’m playing, I’m so immersed in the music that my energy inevitably gets people out of their minds and into their bodies.
I strive to create a sense of oneness on the dance floor, and with music as my tool, I do just that.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I remember when I was 7 years old, I found my uncle’s keyboard under the staircase of my home.
I asked my parents to set it up for me and I started dabbling with it.
I got so into it that my parents decided to get me a teacher. I told the teacher I wanted to learn how to play Evanescence. He told me that was too advanced for me, so he started teaching me how to play Christmas music (I hate Christmas music lol).
After a couple classes I told my parents I didn’t want to continue. The week after that I learned how to play ”My Inmortal” by Evanescence on the piano and I learned it by just watching someone else playing it on YouTube. Not even a tutorial.
That was my earliest memory of feeling powerful.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could tell my younger self one kind thing, it would be to go all in on my passion no matter what anyone else says or what I think of myself in the moment. I’d tell her not to waste time on anything that doesn’t bring her joy, and to trust that as she keeps working on her craft, her confidence will grow right along with it.
I hid my musical skills for way too long because I didn’t believe I was good enough.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
I believe there’s a divine force that guides the flow of our lives. When we’re truly present and open to its signs, it brings everything into balance and leads us exactly where we’re meant to be. Some people call it god; sometimes I call it the universe. But I don’t actually see it as an entity. To me, it’s more of an energetic force you have to tune into to feel it all around you and within you. And it connects you to all living things.
That is something I believe is true but cannot prove.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m in the water. Freediving is one of the hobbies I discovered as an adult, and it truly changed my life. There’s nothing that brings me more serenity than being underwater holding my breath and sinking into that endless blue. It feels like a portal, a sacred space that transports my mind, body, and soul somewhere I can’t reach in any other way. In that silence, everything slows down, and I remember what it feels like to simply be. Nothing connects me to my breath and my heartbeat the way freediving does. It just makes me feel so alive.
