Inspiring Conversations with Madina Bahretdinova of Miaccounting Co

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madina Bahretdinova.

Hi Madina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I came to the US from Tajikistan at the age of 16 back in 2004 by winning a scholarship to be an exchange student and study in High School here. I graduated from high school, then I got a scholarship to go to college and also graduated from College – got my bachelors in business administration, later due to visa restrictions I had to return home, but came back in 2012 as a delegate of One Young World Summit and decided to stay in the US by pursuing my career in accounting and bookkeeping. A couple of years later – in 2015 I started my own practice – I was helping individuals and small businesses with taxation, bookkeeping, company registration and compliance. Today, 10 years later – we are one of the most recognized Russian speaking accounting firms in Florida with over 5000 clients and 20 employees.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like all immigrants I had to face multiple challenges along the way, navigating through cultural, educational and system differences, learning new language.
I have had to work 2 jobs, face loneliness and lack of any support since I came here alone,
I have had to learn that when you rent an apartment – you might never get your deposit back, etc

I am also a single mother – my son is 8 now so having to support a child financially has also been a challenge

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a tax preparation and accounting firm. We provide bookkeeping, tax, company registration and sales tax services. We all come from different backgrounds and it is very important for us to make our clients feel like a part of the team. We are not just an accountant that is available during the tax season and will turn off your phone for the rest of the year. Our team is trained to always be there for our clients. If you have a question, or don’t understand something, we will always help you in your language. It is very important for new immigrants to be able to understand the laws and regulations on taxes and businesses in the United States. We hold our client’s hand each step of the way. When they first arrive in America, we open a company for them, we provide company address and mailing services for those who do not yet have a home, we understand how important it is to find someone who speaks your language. We understand how difficult it is to be in the new country where you do not know anything. We have been there. We made it.

We are known for being very helpful and nice and going out of our way to make sure clients are happy, We also have very competitive pricing and extensive experience. We offer fully digital and remote services. We admire technological progress that is happening around us and are trying to be a part of it. If you need to open a company in any state in the United States you can simply fill out the form, make a payment and your company documents will be emailed to you in a few days. No need to drive anywhere no need to make an appointment, no need to wait on the phone and you will automatically be added to our database where we will be reminding you when to file reports for your company so you will never miss an important date and will not have to pay any fees or penalties.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was always at the top of my class
I was very good at math and had a great memory
Unfortunately I was not into sports or playing a lot with my peers, I was a nerdy child and was taught that studying was going to make me successful in life

I had various math and English language tutors starting from 5th grade – I also volunteered for the United Nations and I believe that all of this helped me stand out and win multiple scholarships to come to the US for free
