Hidden Gems: Meet Kelsy Aguera of Workout with Kelsy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsy Aguera.

Hi Kelsy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
All my life I have severely struggled with how I look but things got worse in 2017 with I was about 18 years old. I was what I felt “skinny fat” and I started working out and eating but I didn’t know how to eat so I did a lot of binging. I got my Nasm certification in 2021 during Covid and began learning more and working as a personal trainer. I helped so many people get to their goals but left myself behind in the process and I gained weight I went to my heaviest weight at 165lbs in 2022 where I felt at my lowest point. I decided to stop in person personal training to work on myself and did online training through my WWK fitness app I also got my second certification which is an ISSA certification and really focused on my mental health and today I am at 145lbs and feeling great. I opened up my doors again at the begging of this year. The point is I think all my trials and tribulations that I went through define me being human and learning as I go. And I’m always learning for my clients but also for myself. My mission is for no WWK member to ever feel as low as I did in 2022 and to believe in themselves. My goal is to show my clients that they are capable of anything they set their mind to and that you might not be perfect but you can still excel in your craft. Fitness is not just physical it’s mental to & here are WWK I’m here for all my clients in both aspects.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth ride I have gained weight, lost weight, felt lost but overcame it all

I am a personal trainer that has my own fitness app exclusive to my clients where they upload progress photos track macros input workouts and cardio activity etc

What matters most to you? Why?
Being able to reach as many people as possible to Help as many people as possible so they never feel low again and I can boost their confidence and work on my purpose in life
