Hi shravan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I came to USA in 2011 from India and landed at Miami ..I started my USA career at Weston Hyatt Bonaventure resort and spa and worked my way through the American hospitality sector working at different positions like buzz boy server manager General manager when finally in 2020 during the covid I came across the opportunity to change my life in the form of 221 Navarre ave coral gables Miami fl 33134 which is NAMASTE MIAMI and working hard for 5 years I have build myself a small little business venture . I got support through the journey from my wife shristie lama and my family members especially my sister aakanksha kulshrestha and a major part in fulfilling the dream was my business partner and executive chef Maninder Pal Singh .
still going strong and have more openings planned for future

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
the road was not smooth at all especially being an immigrant from India ,the road blocks included were financial hardships immigration and also the confidence of opening your own business but by gods grace and family and friends support I pulled myself up and got the things done by saving money getting my green card and blessings from my peeps .

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have always dream of owning a restaurant since I was in 8th grade I am a big foodie and found of the hospitality culture ,I am very passionate when it comes to eye for details in my restaurant I started from bottom of the service industry and slowly by slowly pulled myself to being the person I am . I always say hospitality is all about people .you have to take care of guests and your team if you keep both of them happy and satisfied you will go great in hospitality sector which I still do , I treat everyone with respect and that is one thing I don’t compromise on at all and the thing I am proud about is the respect and love I give to my team and what they give back to me I can’t ask for more .
what sets me apart from others is the level of care and detail I put into the work because that is what I love to do .

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
For me everyone takes a risk when they get out of bed to goto work or buy grocery but coming to a new country to make your career at a young age is taking risk at a level which is very tough I believe if you wanna go forward in life you have to take calculative risks and move forward. The biggest risk I took was migrating to USA from India at the age of 21 to build an empire at that age it was not a risk it was a gamble which paid off risk usually is calculative which I took when I decided to open Namaste Miami during Covid era in oct of 2020 when all the other restaurants were closing I decided to take risk by opening a restaurant .I believe in taking risk based on your capability skills and your mindset that if the risk doesn’t go as plan would it effect my mental health .
I believe taking risk is very important in life to achieve something big .
