Exploring Life & Business with Alan Araujo of Lux MedSpa Brickell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alan Araujo.

Alan Araujo

Hi Alan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Alan Araujo: From Law & Luxury Real Estate to Redefining the Spa Experience in Miami I was born in Brazil and began my career with a law degree from the Pontifícia Catholic University of Minas Gerais. In Miami, I pivoted into luxury real estate—rising to an executive role with Sotheby’s International Realty and serving as an international liaison for world-class projects. I proudly represented L’Atelier (Miami Beach), Louver House (South Beach), the iconic One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid—one of the city’s most celebrated sell-outs nearing $1B—and Brickell City Centre, the neighborhood’s flagship destination.
That chapter sharpened my obsession with design, service, and results.
The wellness industry wasn’t my original plan, but I saw a gap: people wanted more than a treatment—they wanted a retreat. That insight led me to found Lux MedSpa Brickell, inside the prestigious SLS LUX Hotel. What began with a single room and a clear vision is now one of the most highly reviewed and trusted luxury spas in Miami, boasting over 2,000 five-star Google reviews.
Our philosophy—precision, personalization, and human connection—guides every service, from metabolic peels and lymphatic drainage massage to the Ultraformer MPT non-surgical facelift. Clients often say they leave transformed—not just relaxed. For me, Lux MedSpa isn’t just a spa; it’s Miami’s Retreat, where beauty meets mindfulness and luxury meets authenticity.
From law and real estate to building a seven-figure wellness brand, my journey is about reinvention, resilience, and a relentless commitment to making every guest feel seen, valued, and radiant—inside and out.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The truth is, my journey has never been a smooth road—it’s been challenge after challenge. But I’ve never treated obstacles as walls; I treat them as teachers. Each setback pushed me to ask a better question: What’s the lesson here that can make me stronger and serve clients better? Early on, I built Lux MedSpa Brickell around what I call the Inversion Mechanism: instead of chasing scale first, I invested obsessively in client experience—hyper-personalization, real results, and hospitality that feels remembered, not scripted.
Long before “social proof” became a buzzword, I focused on genuine transformations. When we reached the milestone of 2,000 five-star Google reviews, I wrote about this approach here:

That philosophy carried us through every tough season—competing in Miami’s luxury market, navigating the pandemic, and staying ahead of digital algorithms. Those very pressures made me one of the few spa founders who enjoys today’s digital landscape: we use it to deepen trust, improve findability, and deliver clearer value.
What others saw as limitations, I saw as opportunities—to build a boutique spa with big-impact results, rooted in customization, precision, and emotional intelligence. That’s why guests call Lux MedSpa Brickell Miami’s Retreat—and why their voices built our reputation

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Lux MedSpa Brickell?

Lux MedSpa Brickell is not just another spa in Miami—it is what many of our guests call “Miami’s Retreat.” Founded by Alan Araujo (read more: https://www.luxmedspabrickell.com/about-alan-araujo), our boutique spa is located inside the prestigious SLS LUX Hotel in Brickell. We are proud to be one of the most-reviewed luxury spas in Miami, with over 2,000 five-star Google reviews—a testament to the trust and loyalty of our clients.
What sets us apart is simple yet powerful: we don’t follow trends, we create them. While many businesses compete on keywords or replicate what others are doing, Lux MedSpa Brickell grew because we listened directly to our clients. Trends reflect the past—but true innovation reflects today’s needs. Our philosophy is built on client-centric care, customization, and transformation.
That is why guests consistently say we deliver the best custom facials in Miami – https://www.luxmedspabrickell.com/best-custom-facials-miami. From HydraFacial® treatments to medical-grade metabolic peels and Ultraformer MPT non-surgical facelifts – https://www.luxmedspabrickell.com/ultraformer-mpt-in-miami. Every service is personalized. We also specialize in Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage – https://www.luxmedspabrickell.com/lymphatic-massage-body-contour-miami. Couples retreats https://www.luxmedspabrickell.com/best-couples-massage-in-miami. And post-surgery care, making our spa a hub for both luxury relaxation and clinical results.
Miami is not just a city—it is an international hub, the #1 airport for passengers in the U.S., and a crossroads of cultures. I don’t compare Miami to Miami; I compare it to global capitals I’ve worked in as a former Sotheby’s executive. That perspective drives me to build a spa that matches the expectations of an international audience.
While many hotel spas in Miami operate with the same formulas they used 10 years ago, we took a different approach. We built a client-first model, which I call the Inversion Mechanism—investing in the guest experience before anything else. It’s the reason Lux MedSpa Brickell became a seven-figure boutique spa without massive corporate budgets.
Looking ahead, my vision is not only to continue elevating our clients’ experiences in Brickell but also to share this model with other entrepreneurs worldwide. We are already developing an online course that teaches small businesses how to thrive without relying solely on paid ads—proving that genuine service, personalization, and social proof can outlast any marketing trend.
At its core, Lux MedSpa Brickell is about more than facials and massages. It’s about transformations, legacy, and vision. That is why our clients keep coming back, and why we’re proud to be known as the best spa in Miami for luxury facials, massages, and body treatments.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is serving people with precision and heart.
This is me—my smile, my life, my happiness. I’m fulfilled when a client leaves Lux MedSpa Brickell feeling seen, cared for, and renewed. Combining clinical aesthetics with human warmth is my philosophy: results you can measure, experiences you can feel.
I’m equally energized by teaching and mentoring—helping others turn passion into profession while raising the bar for excellence in Miami and beyond.
Outside the spa, travel and social work keep me grounded. I believe in preparing the next generation for an AI-powered future, where excellence, kindness, and authenticity will define true success.
The world moves fast, but staying inspired, generous, and present—that’s what keeps me happy.
