Today we’d like to introduce you to Zohara Bokobza.
Hi Zohara, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
From her early days in Haifa, Israel, cooking has always been a profound passion of Chef Zohara. Growing up in a household filled with tantalizing aromas, her connection to food was nurtured by her mother and grandmother, who taught her the beauty of traditional recipes and the joy of sharing meals. Their love for cooking inspired her to explore new flavors and techniques, deepening her desire to create culinary delights that bring people together.
Before entering the culinary industry, Zohara worked as a licensed massage therapist. However, after the COVID outbreak, she was forced to change her line of work. She started cooking from her home but eventually scaled her business into a full service catering operation.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There are always difficulties with starting a new business. Struggles include financial burdens to buy equipment, fierce competition for business and finding ways to keep the menu creative and appetizing.
We’ve been impressed with Kosher From Z Heart, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Kosher From Z Heart is a catering service that serves all of South Florida. While the chef’s background is in traditional Moroccan cuisine, Zohara is able to create a menu of any kind that suits the client’s needs. All of our food is strictly Kosher and also incredibly delicious.
Food from Kosher From Z Heart is not industrial quality or mass produced. Zohara makes sure the taste of every item is perfect, ensuring the highest level of quality and freshness.
The main thing that sets us apart is our customer service. Many caterers have a standard menu to choose from and won’t work with the client. At Kosher From Z Heart, Zohara will have a conversation with each client to understand their tastes and budget to create a perfectly unique menu.
Kosher From Z Heart can cater events of all sizes including weddings, bar mitzvahs, corporate events, Jewish holiday meals and more.

Zohara never planned on working in the culinary industry. While always being a foodie, the idea of working as a chef never seemed like a possibility. Only after a friend suggested she start selling her dips did she enter the market and the business has grown tremendously from there.
