Rising Stars: Meet Dominique Bivens of Miramar Fl

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Bivens.

Hi Dominique, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story started in digital marketing, where I helped brands and business owners scale through social media. Over the years, I managed thousands of clients, building their presence and showing them how to stand out in a crowded digital world. That experience gave me a deep understanding of what actually drives growth and attention online.

A turning point came when a close friend, Dorian Ash, asked if I ever wanted to take filmmaking more seriously. I always loved it as a hobby, but stepping into it professionally opened doors I never imagined. I began traveling nationally and internationally, capturing stories for businesses, brands, and foundations.
Along the way, I had the opportunity to work with major companies like Smoothie King, EXP Realty, and Fume, one of the world’s largest vaping companies. I’ve created content for artists like 6ix9ine, produced a podcast that went viral with millions of views overnight, and collaborated with organizations such as Aspire4more. I even worked with Brandon Novak from Jackass and hosted his podcast. Each project pushed me further, showing me the power of storytelling through visuals.

Today, I run my own creative brand while also working with Grant Cardone, contributing to his company’s growth through high-level marketing video ads. Beyond creating, I now coach others on how to break into filmmaking or professional photography and land their first clients paying thousands of dollars.

Looking back, it’s been a journey of blending strategy and creativity. From digital marketing to filmmaking, I’ve built a career on helping others tell their stories, grow their businesses, and capture moments that matter.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most entrepreneurs and creatives, I’ve had to face setbacks, failures, and times where I questioned if it was even possible to keep going.

The biggest challenge for me wasn’t building trust with others, it was being committed to myself and my dreams. Having faith was the scariest part of the whole journey. It meant seeing the unseen, going all in, and betting on myself when there was no safety net. I quit my job at Best Buy with zero income saved, bills on the way, and no clear idea how I was going to pay them. But I trusted the process, and within two to three weeks I quadrupled my income through marketing. Over time, that leap of faith led me to moving into my own place and building a life and business I’m proud of.

If you asked me if I’d do it all again, my answer would be yes. But I’ve also learned that with every new door that opens, new challenges come with it. As my opportunities grew, I had to juggle traveling for shoots, managing client expectations, and keeping my own vision alive. There were moments I felt stretched thin, but those times forced me to become more disciplined and intentional with my time.

Financially, there were seasons of inconsistency. Some months were incredible, others felt like I was starting over. That unpredictability taught me to build systems, not just projects, so my work became sustainable rather than relying on one-off wins.

Looking back, the struggles shaped me just as much as the successes. They gave me grit, perspective, and the ability to connect with my clients on a deeper level. Now, when I coach other creatives, I remind them that the challenges aren’t roadblocks, they’re part of the process that builds your story.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in high-end photography and videography that helps both businesses and individuals stand out. On the business side, I create content designed to connect brands with their audience, including interview-style videos, social media reels, and large-scale commercial campaigns. On the personal side, I deliver professional studio photography, such as family portraits, graduation shoots, and milestone moments.

I’m known for more than just creating beautiful visuals. I’m known for creating content with purpose that tells a story, builds trust, and drives growth. I’ve had the opportunity to work with major companies like Smoothie King, EXP Realty, and Fume, one of the world’s largest vaping companies, as well as artists and public figures whose projects reached millions of people.

What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me to capture their brand, their vision, and even their personal memories. Seeing their reaction when they realize how professional, powerful, and personal their content feels is what keeps me inspired.

What sets me apart is the way I blend marketing expertise with creativity. Anyone can deliver photos or videos, but not everyone can create content that actually works, content that drives results, connects with people, and leaves a lasting impact.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is impact. I want the work I create to actually mean something for the people who trust me with their vision. Whether it’s helping a business owner grow their brand or capturing a family’s milestone that they’ll never get back, I care about creating work that lasts and that people can feel.

Impact matters because it goes beyond a paycheck or a project. When someone tells me my content helped them connect with more clients, or when a family lights up seeing their portraits for the first time, that’s when I know I’m doing what I was meant to do.

At the end of the day, my purpose isn’t just creating visuals. It’s helping people tell their story, grow, and hold on to the moments that matter most. That’s what drives me every day.
