Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatrice Deliperi.
Hi Beatrice, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story began in 2016, when I moved from Italy to Boston, MA, to work at Amazon. Living in such a dynamic city sparked my curiosity and quickly drew me into the world of IT and artificial intelligence. That passion led me to enroll in a Master’s program in IT at Northeastern University, although I ultimately chose not to finish it as my career path was already unfolding in other ways.
In 2019, just before the pandemic, I decided to relocate to Miami, FL. The move offered both new opportunities and a more affordable lifestyle, and it turned out to be the right place at the right time. As Covid-19 reshaped the world, Miami became one of the fastest-growing and most attractive cities in the U.S.
I began working for a local CPA firm, where I was challenged to learn Spanish in order to serve the firm’s primarily South American client base. In just 90 days, I achieved fluency—an experience that pushed me far outside my comfort zone and gave me skills I continue to use every day. At the same time, I pursued further education, completing an MBA in Miami Shores and later an Executive Master’s in Finance. During this period, I also wrote an academic article on Sustainable Managerial Accounting, which was approved and published by the American Journal of Economics and Business Management.
In 2022, I founded Deltatax with the goal of helping overseas companies establish themselves in the U.S. and remain compliant with local regulations. Today, we are proud to provide work opportunities to five employees, all of whom are immigrants who, like me, came to the U.S. to build a better future. In 2025, our efforts were recognized when we received an award honoring the impact and growth of our business.
What started as a personal journey of growth and adaptation has become a company dedicated to guiding others through the same process of building something new in a foreign country.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Being a woman in business, and one with a noticeable accent, has often been a barrier. There are moments where I’ve had to prove myself twice as much—first for my skills, and then again to overcome the assumptions people make. Constantly having to demonstrate credibility can be challenging, but it has also pushed me to become more resilient, determined, and confident in what I bring to the table.
At the same time, working with clients who share a similar experience—moving abroad and facing the challenges of starting over in a new country—has been a source of comfort for me. Helping them succeed made me feel understood as well, and in many ways, their journeys have mirrored my own.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work focuses on bridging international business with the U.S. market. Through my company, Deltatax, I specialize in helping overseas companies establish operations in the United States while remaining compliant with local regulations. What sets me apart is that I have built a practice uniquely designed to serve foreign entrepreneurs, investors, and businesses who want to expand into the U.S.—a group that often struggles to navigate complex tax, financial, and compliance requirements.
Unlike many accountants who focus only on domestic clients, my background as an immigrant gives me first-hand insight into the challenges of entering a new market. I am fluent in multiple languages, which allows me to work directly with international clients without the cultural or linguistic barriers that often limit other firms. In addition, my academic research on Sustainable Managerial Accounting—published by the American Journal of Economics and Business Management—demonstrates my ability to bring innovative and forward-looking approaches to the field of finance, connecting sustainability with corporate decision-making.
I am most proud of having created opportunities not just for clients but also for people. Deltatax currently employs five immigrants, each of whom has built a new professional life in the U.S. thanks to the company. Our recognition with an award in 2025 for business impact and growth further proves the tangible results of this work.
What also sets me apart is my vision for the future of work. I strongly believe in science, in the efficiency of employees working remotely, and in the power of artificial intelligence to transform modern business practices. At Deltatax, I apply these principles by integrating technology and AI-driven processes into daily operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and innovation in client services.
Just as importantly, I believe in diversity and in making a positive impact. Giving opportunities to people who start from zero—just as I once did—is my main priority. Empowering immigrants and newcomers not only transforms individual lives but also strengthens the communities and economy they become part of.
The United States benefits from professionals like me because I provide expertise that goes beyond conventional accounting. My role is not only to manage numbers but to create a bridge between international business and the U.S. economy—helping foreign investment flow into the country, creating jobs, and ensuring compliance with U.S. laws. Even without a CPA certification, my combination of international experience, advanced education in finance, entrepreneurial leadership, commitment to diversity, forward-thinking approach to work, and proven results make my contributions unique and of clear national interest.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is the importance of reinventing yourself and being willing to start over. I’ve also learned the value of failure. People often say, “believe in your dreams,” but the truth is that sometimes it’s incredibly hard to even understand what our dreams are. There are moments when we feel lonely and uncertain about where we are going. Yet, it’s through failure that we begin to understand who we really are, what matters to us, and how we can grow.
