I was born in Sweden, where my love for food started early. I trained at culinary school there and spent years working in both restaurants and catering, building a strong foundation in classic techniques and Scandinavian flavors.
Eventually, I moved to Madrid, Spain, where I worked as a chef in a luxury hotel and offered catering services to Swedish and other high-end Northern European clients. That time in Spain really expanded my culinary perspective—blending Nordic precision with Mediterranean warmth.
In the early 2000s, I relocated to Miami and launched Food by Chef Lars Inc., a boutique catering company that I ran for over 15 years. I served as a private chef and catered everything from intimate dinners to large-scale luxury events. It was a vibrant chapter, full of creativity and connection.
When the pandemic hit, I closed the business and pivoted—working in restaurants and supporting the school system to stay active and contribute to the community. It was a humbling time, but it gave me space to reflect and reset.
In 2024, I launched Chef Lars Miami LLC, a fresh evolution of my brand. Today, I offer private chef services and upscale catering for intimate gatherings, luxury Airbnb experiences, and corporate events. My style blends Swedish heritage, Spanish influence, and Miami’s bold energy—always with a focus on elegance, flavor, and personal touch.
I don’t just cook—I create experiences. Whether it’s a candlelit dinner for two or a celebration for fifty, I bring the same care, creativity, and attention to detail. That’s what luxury means to me.

The road hasn’t always been smooth. Running a business in a competitive market like Miami meant navigating everything from staffing challenges to last-minute event changes. The pandemic was especially tough—not just professionally, but emotionally. Closing Food by Chef Lars Inc. felt like losing a part of myself. But those struggles taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying connected to my purpose. Every setback became a lesson, and every pivot brought me closer to the kind of work I truly love.
