An Inspired Chat with Jatna Banks of Davie, FL

We recently had the chance to connect with Jatna Banks and have shared our conversation below.

Jatna , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
My days are a mix of work and family. I usually start by prioritizing my kids in the morning checking messages after drop off and making sure my day is organized. Then, I spend most of my day with clients, making sure they not only receive the best service but also have a great overall experience. After work, my evenings are all about family time.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Jatna and I’m a brow and makeup artist with a passion for enhancing natural beauty. As a wife and mom of three, I’ve built my business while raising my family, and that journey has shaped the way I approach my work with love, patience, and intention. For me, brows are more than just a service, they’re about self-expression and confidence. My brand is built on creating personalized experiences for clients while also sharing my knowledge through trainings and courses. Right now, I’m focused on expanding the education side of my work, helping other artists grow while continuing to inspire confidence in every client I meet.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
This is such a powerful question, really has you thinking. Before the world told me who I had to be, I was simply a creative girl who loved making others feel good about themselves. I’ve always been drawn to beauty, not just the makeup and brows, but the way it can light someone up inside. I think deep down I’ve always been a nurturer too, caring for people, wanting them to feel seen and loved. Over time, life, motherhood, and building a business added new layers, but at my core I’m still that same person, creative, caring, and passionate about bringing out the best in others.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self to keep being herself because everything is going to fall into place. This industry really picked me, and I’m grateful it did. Every step along the way has shaped me into who I am now, and she wouldn’t have to change a thing.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that what matters most to me is family, my work, and the people I care about. I love creating and building, whether it’s helping clients feel confident, teaching other artists, or making sure my family feels supported and loved. I put my heart into everything I do, and the people I care about know that’s just who I am.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
I would regret not taking advantage of opportunities to keep learning and growing in my field. Whether it’s additional training, mentorship, or new challenges. I never want to look back and feel like I stayed in my comfort zone instead of pushing myself forward.
