Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In our last conversation, we shared the adventurous journey that led us from chiropractic grad school in Florida, to practicing abroad in Singapore, traveling to over 40 countries, and ultimately settling in Miami to build our dream practice — On-The-Go Wellness®. Our experiences abroad shaped our vision to create a company that fits the needs of active, health-minded people living busy lifestyles.
Since that interview, On-The-Go Wellness® has truly grown into everything we envisioned. We’ve expanded our services to include medical massage therapy, personal training, and medical-grade supplements — giving our patients comprehensive care under one roof to help them feel and function at their best. Along the way, we’ve also added the greatest assistant in the world, and we honestly couldn’t do everything we do without her. She’s become such an integral part of our team and has allowed us to focus more on caring for our patients.
We’re also proud to share that we were voted Best Chiropractors in Miami-Dade County in 2024, which has been such an incredible honor and affirmation of the work we’re so passionate about.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As we shared before, being an entrepreneur is never a perfectly smooth ride — plans rarely unfold exactly as you expect. But over time we’ve learned to not only embrace the twists and turns, but to actually welcome the process and the challenges that come with it. One of the biggest hurdles was growing beyond just the two of us and adding employees. That transition wasn’t easy, but it’s also been one of the most rewarding parts of our journey, as it’s allowed us to build a stronger team and serve our patients even better.
We’ve been impressed with On-The-Go Wellness Chiropractic, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
From the very beginning, what set us apart was the time and care we devoted to each patient. We never wanted to be a “crack and go” clinic — instead, we built our practice around personalized, one-on-one care, taking the time to understand our patients’ unique concerns, goals, and lifestyles. Whether through in-office visits in Brickell or the convenience of in-home care, our mission has always been to help patients feel their best with guidance that goes far beyond the adjustment.
That part hasn’t changed — we’re still those same practitioners who give our patients 100% day in and day out. What has evolved is our ability to serve patients even more comprehensively. Today, we have an incredible team alongside us, offering medical massage therapy, personal training, and medical-grade supplements. Because while chiropractic care is powerful, not everything can be solved with adjustments alone — true wellness often requires a whole-body, team-based approach.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I (Dr. Nichole) was an outgoing, sporty kid who also loved to read and soak up any information I could find. I had a natural curiosity about other cultures, shaped in large part by being raised by my immigrant German grandparents in a small town in Michigan. They influenced me deeply, instilling in me drive, respect, and a strong desire to help others.
Dr. Josh was also an outgoing, sporty kid, but with a creative side—he loved drawing. His childhood was a blend of two very different worlds: born in South Carolina, where he spent time riding and caring for horses, and later moving to South Jersey, where he experienced more of a city lifestyle.
