Adela Lampl of West Avenue, Miami Beach on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Adela Lampl shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Adela, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
All of them.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Adela, co-founder of Level One by Lagree. Fitness has always been a big part of my life, and with Level One we wanted to create more than just another studio, we wanted to bring the most authentic Lagree experience to Miami.

What makes our studio special is the combination of a results-driven method with an atmosphere that feels welcoming, energetic, and personal. Every class is about more than just a workout; it’s about attention to detail, proper form, great music, and building a community where people feel motivated and supported.

For me, it’s not just about fitness; it’s about helping people transform their bodies and minds while enjoying the process.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
I’d say I’ve learned the most about work from my own journey and the people I’ve surrounded myself with. Coming from a background where discipline and consistency were always important, I quickly realized that passion alone isn’t enough; you need structure, resilience, and the ability to adapt.

In particular, I’ve learned a lot from my husband, Jürgen. We balance each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and that dynamic has taught me how powerful working with your partner can be. I’ve also been deeply influenced by our community of clients; seeing their dedication and trust in us constantly reminds me why we do what we do and pushes me to give my best every day.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was definitely a time when things felt overwhelming. When we were opening Level One by Lagree in Miami Beach, the process of obtaining permits was incredibly long and complicated. I remember watching our savings slowly leave our account and questioning if or how we were going to make it through.

But giving up was never an option. We didn’t move from Austria to Miami to quit halfway; we came here with a vision, and we were determined to make it real. We don’t accept failure. For us, every hurdle is just fuel to push harder and further. And looking back, those challenges only made us stronger and more confident in what we’ve built.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that punctuality really matters to me, and that I can be pretty stubborn; in the sense that “no” is never an answer I easily accept. I’m kind and always there to help others, but I don’t like being taken advantage of. Once I feel someone has used me or disappointed me deeply, there’s really no way back; I’ll never forget it (lol).

I absolutely adore my husband, our dog, and coffee (lol)—those are my daily essentials. The beach, sunshine, and great house music are what make me happiest, and if there’s one thing I miss endlessly, it’s my favorite island, Ibiza, which I used to visit every year.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Traveling- it’s definitely my biggest passion. Discovering new places, learning about different cultures, and meeting new people. I’d dedicate as much time as possible to seeing the world and experiencing everything it has to offer.
