Anthony Leto shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Anthony, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I am walking a path rooted in love and creativity. The path I believe God has set before me. Although the journey has its challenges, I remain deeply grateful and blessed for the place I am in today.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Anthony “AHZUWOP” Leto, and I’m a Swiss Army knife of creativity. A designer, stylist, music producer, recording artist, painter, and teacher. At the heart of everything I do is storytelling through art, fashion, and sound.
Our brand, Indapendant Studios, is more than just a creative space. It’s a movement where music, style, dance, photography/cinematography and culture intersect. What makes us unique is that we’re not just creating for ourselves; we’re building platforms where other artists, models, and musicians can shine as well.
From selling out shows to dressing models and producing original music, while capturing it all. We’ve always stayed rooted in love, authenticity, and innovation. Right now, we’re focused on expanding Indapendant Studios into a hub for collaboration, bringing together people who are passionate about art, fashion, and music.
The journey hasn’t always been easy, but we see every step as part of the path God set for us. That’s what keeps us inspired, grateful, and constantly pushing boundaries. Most recently, we’ve expanded to a production house in downtown Fort Myers Florida. Marking three dedicated spaces for Indapendant: one recording/podcast studio, one dance/photography studio, and one content/production house.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Bonds usually break when communication and trust fall apart when people stop listening, stop showing up, or let ego get in the way. What restores them is honesty, forgiveness, and consistency. You have to show effort, not just talk about it. At the core, love and empathy are what bring people back together. A lot of times it’s not even one big moment it’s the little neglects that stack up until the connection feels broken. You can’t just talk about fixing things, you have to show it through your actions.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me patience, humility, and resilience in a way success never could. Success feels good, but it can make you comfortable. Struggle, on the other hand, forces you to lock in and grow. It teaches you gratitude, empathy, and how to keep going when things don’t look promising. Without the hard times, I wouldn’t have the same appreciation for the blessings I have now.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
A fad is loud but short lived… It grabs attention, but it doesn’t hold weight once the hype dies down. A foundational shift has staying power; it changes how people think, create, or connect. The way I tell the difference is by looking at impact over time. If something still holds value after the noise fades and it keeps influencing culture, that’s not a fad it’s a real shift. That’s what my art is about creating something real and inspiring that will last forever.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely. I’ve learned that the value of your work isn’t in the recognition it’s in the process and the impact it can have, even quietly. Giving your best, regardless of praise, builds discipline, integrity, and a foundation that lasts. That’s how real art, music, and creativity are made by showing up fully, not just when someone’s watching. Also at the end of the day I create art because I truly love it!
