Conversations with Iryna Babych

Today we’d like to introduce you to Iryna Babych.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my career as a lawyer and later worked in the police force, which gave me discipline, structure, and strategic thinking. Yet I always felt a strong passion for creativity and visual storytelling, so I decided to follow my true calling — photography. Step by step I grew from doing family shoots to building a professional career in fashion, portrait, and brand photography, collaborating with local companies and creating content for businesses.

Today I run my own agency, Iren Media Agency LLC, where I combine photography, content creation, and strategy for local and international brands. This transition marked my growth from a family photographer to a corporate-level visual creator.

A significant milestone in my journey was in 2025, when my work was selected and exhibited at the international exhibition Dreams & Nightmares at Boomer Gallery in London. This exhibition was part of London Art Week, one of the most important art events in the city, featuring works of international artists and photographers. Being chosen to exhibit there confirmed not only the quality of my work but also my status as a photographer recognized on the global stage.

For me, photography is more than a profession — it is a way to transform beauty into timeless stories and connect people through visual language. My goal is to continue creating art that resonates internationally while developing my agency and educational projects to inspire others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been entirely smooth. Transitioning from a legal career and police work into the creative field was a dramatic change that required me to completely reinvent myself. Moving to the United States also brought challenges — adapting to a new culture, building a network from scratch, and proving myself in a very competitive market. There were moments of uncertainty, but each obstacle pushed me to grow, to learn, and to believe more strongly in my vision.

These challenges ultimately became my strength, shaping my ability to combine discipline and strategy with creativity. They helped me build not only my career as a photographer but also my own agency, where I now create content for brands and continue expanding internationally.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My name is Iryna Babych, and photography for me is more than a profession — it is my identity and the way I tell stories. I quickly grew from small local shoots to working with brands and on a corporate level, building a name that is now recognized internationally. I specialize in fashion, portrait, and brand photography, creating images that balance elegance and emotion while reflecting the essence of the people and businesses I collaborate with.

In 2025, my work was selected and exhibited at the Dreams & Nightmares exhibition at Boomer Gallery in London, as part of London Art Week, where international photographers were represented. Being chosen for such a prestigious event confirmed my status as a photographer whose vision resonates globally.

Alongside my photography career, I founded Iren Media Agency LLC, where I combine photography with creative direction and brand strategy. Through the agency, I help businesses build strong visual identities, create high-quality content, and elevate their market presence. What sets me apart is the unique mix of discipline and structure from my legal background with creativity and vision as a photographer.

I am proud to have built not only a personal brand under my own name but also a company that reflects my philosophy: photography as both art and strategy — a tool to inspire, connect, and transform.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
One of the qualities that has been most important to my success is strategic thinking. I never view photography only as a creative process — I always think about how each project can bring value, generate results, and build long-term impact for myself and my clients. This mindset allows me to combine artistry with business, turning creativity into a sustainable and profitable career.

I believe this balance of vision and strategy sets me apart. While many focus only on the artistic side, I approach photography as both an art and a business, ensuring that every image not only inspires but also creates real opportunities.
