Hi Svetlana & Arnold , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Walk the dog, post on social , check emails , give the baby her bath , get dressed , Coffee date at our favorite cafe , walk on the beach , grab lunch, clients consultation, time with family / errands/ dinner prep, calls with clients , work on invoices , work on contracts , order for upcoming events , plan social media posts , late dinner with family , evening walk , watch a movie / or event designers IG for inspo , talk about business and next goals .
That is when we don’t have events . Event days are an organised chaos !
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We are Svetlana & Arnold , couple behind Ideal Events , Wedding & Event decor & planning agency for “real” people with “realistic” budgets
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
We both come from very humble beginnings in our countries ( Russia and Colombia ) and went through a long path of jobs and careers before we became entrepreneurs and partners in Ideal Events , from car wash, jewelerer assistant, to Port Supervisor , Maketing manager , antique art sales , airline supervisor , we have tried on a lot of roles .
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I think there has been a lot of hard times and ups and downs , especially when you come form another county and have to start from zero it’s never easy . But giving up was never an option . We wipe our tears and move forward .
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Family , healthy life , freedom, aesthetic and good quality food .
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Honestly not much , I think we are at the point of our life where we are actually very satisfied with our daily routine and habits and the way we live it . Probably we would travel more as it’s always a dream that keeps getting delayed due to work and other plans
