Danielle DeMicco of West Palm Beach on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Danielle DeMicco shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Danielle, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Volunteering and raising awareness for causes, and giving back to the community. I have been asked to be Co-Chair to The Children’s Heart Foundation Congenital Heart Walk, that happens here in South Florida. I help with projects for Delmar Farm Sanctuary, in Loxahatchee. As well as networking to help new small businesses get their name out there while help run a Facebook group, The Cool Moms of the Palm Beaches.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Dani, I am originally from NY and moved down here about 11 years ago. When I became a mom and was looking for things to create for my daughters Christening, there wasn’t anything in particular I was falling in love with, and that is when I was introduced to a Cricut machine. I felt a rush of possibilities and creativity. Few years later I decided to start offering my creations to local mom bakers, which quickly turn into supplying them with custom cake toppers along with all of their marketing materials for their business. After dipping my toes into the graphic design I decided to help a non profit by and taking over their social media both supplying and creating posts and graphics. I then was opened to the world of digital marketing and I was hooked. I had a talent for really seeing what other imagined and made it come to life. I offered free graphic design and quickly became a Branding Manager to few local mom businesses. This then turned into an Online Business Manager position. I am now turning a new leaf while still keeping my roots and passion for helping others and their new business. I am focusing on rebranding my current business into providing small business with branding, marketing materials and graphic design. You never know what skills and learning can lead to, always absorb what is around you to continue to grow not just as a human but also as a successor.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Greed breaks a bond between people. Realizing you can not be successful alone can restore them.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
My Nani (Grandmother) she was truly a voice of reason and a rock to my family, that was also tough as nails. She showed strength and courage as a mother and a woman, when it was considered taboo to be a single mother. She fought with everything in all aspects of her life to be both successful and an amazing human.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely, I believe in always being your authentic self whether your everyone’s cup of tea or not. Without the rawness and realness of oneself you are then just a copy paste of what you “think” you want others to see.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, my self accomplishments is more powerful then anyone ever having to say it it. I know that I am an asset and know my own self worth. Of course we want to please everyone but we are our own biggest fan. The biggest reward is when someone recommends me or comes back as a repeat client.
