An Inspired Chat with Brittany Redondo of Boca Raton

We recently had the chance to connect with Brittany Redondo and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Brittany, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me consists of me working my Corporate 9-6 job, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and working on my business late at night or early in the morning. Structure is super important for me so I enjoy being able to have that while pursuing my passion with Samba Swim.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Brittany Redondo, and I’m the founder of Samba Swim, a luxury women’s swimwear brand built on quality and sustainability. Each collection is produced in small batches, once the pieces are gone, they’re gone for good. Storytelling is at the heart of Samba Swim. Every collection is designed to capture a mood or feeling, and each piece is made to help women feel even more confident in their own skin.

I launched Samba Swim in 2020, during the height of COVID. Over the next two years, I created four collections before pausing the brand in 2023 to focus on growing my career in marketing. Earlier this year, with my career shifting to a hybrid schedule, I felt ready to dive back in and I relaunched Samba with a brand-new collection, Like an American. This collection is a love letter to vintage Americana: old-school glamour that’s effortlessly cool, unapologetically feminine, and made for the modern muse who craves confidence, charm, and a touch of vintage flair.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding Samba’s reach through pop-up shops across South Florida while also building a stronger online presence.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My father taught me the most about work through his actions. He began by washing cars and worked his way up to owning and managing four car dealerships across South Florida. He is the hardest-working, most driven, giving, and kind person I know. From him, I learned that if you genuinely care about people, success will always follow.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes. When I chose to further my marketing career in 2022, I stepped into a role that required me to be in the office five days a week, 9 to 6. I quickly realized it wasn’t sustainable to balance that schedule while also growing my brand. For two years, Samba stayed in the back of my mind, but I often felt like too much time had passed to bring it within reach again.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
A belief I held strongly in the early days of starting my brand and honestly, one I still catch myself slipping into sometimes—is that everything has to be perfect before it can be shared or tried. I’ve learned that if I had clung to that belief, Samba wouldn’t be where it is today. Progress comes from putting yourself out there, even if it’s not flawless.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
What I would regret most is not trying every possible avenue to see my brand succeed. I need to know that I gave it my all before ever considering walking away from something I’ve poured so much of myself into.
