We recently had the chance to connect with Corbin Stacy and have shared our conversation below.
Corbin, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
One of the biggest misconceptions about our business — whether it’s NamaStacy YOGA® or yoga hOMe® — is that we’re “just a yoga studio” or that our services are limited to physical fitness. While we absolutely champion the benefits of movement, sweat, and strength through our Hot Yoga and specialty practices, our mission has always gone much deeper.
People often assume yoga is simply a workout or a trendy wellness activity, but what we do is create a space for transformation — physically, mentally, emotionally, and communally. NamaStacy YOGA® was founded with the intention of elevating teachers and training leaders to not only guide others through poses, but to help them uncover a truer version of themselves. Similarly, yoga hOMe® is more than a studio, it’s a sanctuary. A living, breathing community where people come to be seen, supported, and inspired through all phases of life.
Another misunderstanding is that our brand is only for the flexible, spiritual, or already “in shape.” On the contrary, we meet people exactly where they are. We celebrate diversity in all forms and invite everyone into our spaces with the belief that you don’t have to change to belong, you belong, and from there, change becomes possible.
We’re not just in the business of yoga. We’re in the business of connection, of healing, of bold self-discovery and everything we create, from a sweaty class to a bamboo-floored renovation, is in service of that higher purpose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Corbin Stacy, the founder of NamaStacy YOGA® and creator of yoga hOMe® — a South Florida-based sanctuary where movement meets meaning.
What began as a personal journey through yoga turned into a global mission to empower others through education, community, and the deep-rooted magic of practice. NamaStacy YOGA® is more than a brand … it’s a lifestyle and legacy built on the belief that everyone has the power to lead, to heal, and to inspire. Through teacher trainings, pop-up experiences, and heart-led programs, we help individuals step fully into their purpose both on and off the mat.
Our home studio, yoga hOMe®, is not just a place to take class, it’s a cinematic, sensory experience. We’re known for our Hot Yoga lineage infused with modern modalities like OM Barre™, Block Therapy™, and our signature VinVersion YOGA®, an inversion-rich vinyasa practice. We recently unveiled a stunning renovation complete with floating bamboo floors and infrared wellness elements to elevate every breath and posture.
What makes us unique is our unapologetic authenticity, our commitment to evolution, and our unwavering belief in the power of “we.” I’m deeply proud of the community we’ve created where people don’t just come to practice, they come to belong.
Right now, we’re focused on expanding our training programs, collaborating with bold wellness partners, and sharing our message globally: that yoga is not something you do, it’s something you live.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
Without question—my father, David. He’s the hardest working man I know, and everything I understand about loyalty, love, and showing up with integrity, I learned from him. He instilled in me the value of commitment, not just to a job, but to a purpose. Watching him lead with quiet strength and relentless dedication shaped how I approach my own work today.
The heart and hustle behind everything I do, from building the NamaStacy YOGA® brand to creating yoga hOMe®, are a reflection of what he modeled for me: that work can be a labour of love, and when it is, it becomes something sacred.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as power this year actually! It took new, exciting partnerships to remind me that my story wasn’t something to suppress, it was fuel. Now I show up not in spite of what I’ve been through, but because of it!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
For me, it’s getting back on a major streaming reality TV show, but this time, not as Player #042 in Squid Game: The Challenge. This time, I’m showing up as my full self: Corbin Stacy, raw, real, and unapologetic.
I’m committed to sharing my story, my truth, and my energy with the world in a way that transcends competition and taps into connection. Whether it takes months or years, I believe the world is ready, and I’m ready, to bring something deeper to the screen. Something authentic, vulnerable, powerful, and yes … a little fierce.
This isn’t about fame. It’s about impact. And I won’t stop until it happens.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What light inside you have you been dimming?
Honestly, my inner dancer. Long before I was a yoga teacher or studio owner, I was a competitive clogger, a cheerleading maniac, and someone who came alive under the lights. I miss the freedom of the club scene, the rhythm of the circuit, the pulse of music, and the electric connection that comes from just letting go and moving with your whole heart.
Somewhere along the way, amidst responsibility, recovery, and reinvention, I tucked that part of myself away. But that light? It’s still in there. And lately, I’ve been feeling it flicker back on.
It’s time to dance again … not just in celebration, but in remembrance of who I’ve always been.
