Victoria Hall on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Victoria Hall. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Victoria, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
A recent memory that fills me with pride is from our company trip to Miami. We brought our leadership and coaching staff together, and while we did some planning, the real magic happened in the moments in between. Watching everyone hang out, laugh, and share stories, you could just feel this incredible bond forming. It wasn’t forced team-building; it was a genuine camaraderie that grew organically.
The pride comes from seeing the ripple effect of that trip. Since we’ve been back, the energy and collaboration have been on another level. Our team isn’t just a group of people who work for the same company; they are a true unit that trusts and supports one another. When our coaches feel connected and valued, it shines through in every class they teach. That trip wasn’t just a fun getaway; it was an investment in our culture, and seeing how it has strengthened our entire organization makes me incredibly proud.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello everyone. My journey with football began as a wee bairn on the East end of Glasgow. In a place with no teams or leagues for girls, the only way to play was to join the boys for their pick-up games. They wouldn’t let me on their team, but that didn’t stop me; it only lit a fire in me. I lived for the competition, for the raw thrill of stepping onto the pitch and proving I belonged.

I have a core memory from that time of beating a male friend in a one-on-one game. His only comeback was, “You only have one move.” He wasn’t wrong, but it was a move he couldn’t stop. It was in those moments I realized I wasn’t just keeping up; I was a better player. That unrelenting drive to compete and win has defined my entire career. It carried me through forming a girls’ team in high school and being recruited at just 14 to play for East Kilbride Ladies.

That spirit of competition never left. After earning a full scholarship to play in the US and captaining my university team, I played on semi-pro women’s teams. One of my greatest victories came when our women’s team challenged a local men’s team to a match—and we beat them. It was more than a game; it was a statement.

My journey led me to coaching, where I earned my National “A” License and instructed for US Soccer. However, watching the game evolve, I knew I needed to build something lasting. That’s when I found Soccer Stars.

I am deeply passionate about what Soccer Stars stands for—creating that first, joyful experience with the beautiful game. My entire life has been about fighting for a spot on the field and falling in love with the challenge. Now, I work to give every child who walks into our classes that immediate sense of excitement, belonging, and joy. I want to help them find their own “unstoppable move” and create a core memory with sports that will stay with them forever.

It’s a mission I’m so passionate about, and I want to extend a personal invitation for your child to begin their journey with us. To help you get started, please feel free to use the code UNSTOPPABLE35 to receive $35 off your first season. I truly hope to see you on the field.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Without a doubt, the people who saw me most clearly before I could see myself were my college coach and her husband. I arrived in Texas as a young woman with raw talent and a fierce competitive drive forged in Glasgow, but I was still immature. I had all this fire, but I didn’t know how to channel it. I knew I wanted to build a life in soccer, but the path forward was a blur.
They saw through the rough edges. They didn’t just see a player they could use to win games; they saw a future leader and coach. More than just tactics on a whiteboard, they mentored me on life. They taught me what it meant to be a professional, how to lead by example, and how to turn my raw passion into disciplined, effective leadership. They provided the guidance and structure that I, as a young and headstrong player, desperately needed. They didn’t just make me a better player; they put me on the path to becoming the coach I am today. They saw the blueprint for my future long before I even knew how to read it.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one thing to that wee girl playing with the boys on the East end of Glasgow, I’d tell her: ‘You’re awesome, Truly.’
I would tell her that the fire in her belly, the stubborn refusal to be left on the sidelines, is not something to hide or quiet down. It’s her greatest gift. All those times she felt like she was too much, too competitive, or too different—that was just her awesomeness trying to break through. I’d tell her that her path won’t be straight, and she won’t always get it right, but her passion for the game and her drive to compete will carry her to places she can’t even imagine. I’d tell her to trust that fire because it’s the very thing that will shape her entire life for the better.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
That’s an easy one: my wife. I live and breathe soccer, which is a huge strength, but it can also create tunnel vision. I’m so deep in the world of coaching, tactics, and player development that I can sometimes miss the bigger picture. My wife isn’t from the soccer world, and that is her superpower.

She is my most trusted sounding board because she cuts through all the industry jargon and gets straight to the heart of the matter. She’ll ask the simple, powerful questions that I’m too close to see. She approaches problems with a different lens—focused on human connection, clear communication, and common sense. She provides the clarity and the grounded, real-world perspective that keeps my vision sharp and my leadership effective. She’s the ultimate strategic partner.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If you stripped everything away—the title of ‘coach,’ the business I’ve helped build, my name and reputation—what would remain is my family. They are the only thing that is truly me.

Everything else is temporary. A role is a hat I wear. Possessions are tools I use. A name is just a label. But my family… they are my foundation. They are the source of my strength and the reason for my drive. They are the people who see me when the uniform is off and the cheering has stopped. They are my safe harbor and my true north. Without them, all the achievements, the wins, and the accolades would be hollow. They are the core of who I am, and that love is the one thing that is real and indestructible.
