Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Leah Marie of Fort Lauderdale

We recently had the chance to connect with Leah Marie and have shared our conversation below.

Leah, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Early Morning is my favorite part of the day! I’m most productive and in flow when the whole world is still sleeping. I wake up at 5am everyday. I stream of consciousness journal three pages in a notebook within 30 minutes of waking. This clears my mind, sets intention for the day and gives me an opportunity to write down any insights that I’ve had from dreams from the previous night. I then feed my cats and head out for a 4 mile walk by the lake to watch the sunrise over the water.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a writer, podcaster, and coach devoted to guiding wild-hearted women home to themselves.

I began my career in the beauty industry, where I spent years holding women’s faces in my hands. What started as makeup artistry became something far deeper. Beneath the surface of foundation and mascara were stories, sorrows, longings, and breakthroughs. I began to realize—it was never just about the makeup. What I was really doing was helping women feel seen, heard, and held.

That’s when everything shifted. I started to crave something deeper than beauty. I wanted truth. I wanted transformation. I wanted to walk with women not just to the mirror—but into the wilderness of their own becoming.

Today, I blend the tools of Human Potential Coaching, Eastern philosophy, Depth Psychology, Dreamwork, and Nature-based practices to support women in reclaiming their power, finding clarity, and reconnecting with purpose.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that once needed to be small, agreeable, and endlessly accommodating has served its purpose and now must be released. She helped me survive. She helped me belong. She made me palatable in rooms where power felt scarce and presence was punished. But I am no longer surviving—I’m here to live fully, audaciously, and in devotion to the truth of who I am. That version of me was the seed. But I am the blooming.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain when I realized it wasn’t weakness—it was wisdom. For years I kept it tucked away, thinking it made me broken or too much. But the truth is, my pain was never the problem—my silence was. The moment I began speaking from it, creating from it, and letting it shape my work, everything changed. My pain became a portal—into deeper purpose, connection, and power. That was the beginning of my true becoming.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Mental health. I’m dedicating my life to mental health. The state of mental health and mental health care is so grossly undervalued and ignored mostly that it breaks my heart! I want to help guide people back to themselves and having a high quality of life!

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Soul Initiation, depth psychology and the whispering of our Daimon.
