We recently had the chance to connect with Nicole Gallamini and have shared our conversation below.
Nicole, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
This is a great question. I’m proud of everything I’ve built. It’s taken a lot of patience, failure and ups and downs. Everyone sees the beautiful side of it all, because we’re used to showing the good parts, not the sacrifice or the hard times. But the truth is, we all go through silent struggles and private battles.
I’m especially proud of everything I’ve built in music. I’ve spent years pouring my heart into developing my brand, my sound, and the confidence that surrounds it. This career isn’t linear, and you have to be aware of that. You can’t give up, you just have to keep finding ways to move forward.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a DJ/Producer and Fashion Designer/Stylist, currently focused on building my brand, Élevé, which merges my two biggest passions: music and fashion.
Élevé is a multidisciplinary platform I founded in 2023 that redefines the intersection of music, fashion, and art. Known for its dark, elegant, and futuristic energy, Élevé curates immersive experiences that feature cutting‑edge music, exclusive event merchandise and collaborations with both international talent and emerging local artists. We’re also dedicated to bringing fresher, different sounds to our local scene.
Rooted in values of respect, connection, and creative expression, Élevé is more than just events, it’s a movement.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
When I was little, I used to dance ballet, tap, and flamenco. My earliest memory of feeling powerful was during my performances, which I still keep close to my heart. Dancing was my whole life, and it taught me a lot.
There’s something so vulnerable about being on stage, but when you overcome that fear and see the results, it creates a huge shift in your heart and soul.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
Failure always comes with knowledge and experience. It sucks, it really does and you can feel bad about it for hours, days, or even months. But once you realize it’s part of the journey and something you need in order to grow, your mindset starts to shift.
Of course it’s scary and it’s easy to say what I’m saying now, but don’t think I’m not still scared of it. We all are. That’s why it’s so important to practice every day and commit to becoming better, whatever it is you do.
Success doesn’t come easy, it’s not easy at all. But you have to forgive yourself for failing and not let the feeling bring you down. Feel it, study what you could’ve done better, and move through it. Prepare for more, and stay consistent so you can learn to manage that fear and keep growing 🙂
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
My parents, they’re my heroes. I admire their strength, humility and the values they’ve passed on to me. It’s their character, not any title or status.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I’ll always do what I was born to do. I’m a rebel at heart, I trust my gut and follow what my soul craves, not what I’m told to do.
Of course, I do it with respect and strong values. I listen, I take advice, but I always end up doing what I know I need to do. Carefully… not in a crazy way, lol
