Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Anna Estrin of North Miami

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Anna Estrin. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Anna, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
To open a new business that requires investment. And, as always, when starting a business, there are many risks, and one of the most important is whether it will be successful or not.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
As a child, I dreamed of connecting my life with fashion, and the first step towards this dream was launching a luxury costume jewelry brand. Then my dream became a reality – I founded Annie Couture NYC, a designer brand of women’s clothing and accessories. In 2019, my signature show opened New York Fashion Week. Over time, I expanded the brand’s international sales network and handed over its management to a new owner.

At the same time, I began writing a weekly column about the fashion industry for an American newspaper, and also collaborated with Marie Claire and Fashion Magazine 24. Today, my projects are united by themes of fashion, beauty, support for women, family values, and creating a cozy home – this is what I call Lifestyle in journalism.

In my articles and on social networks, I discuss the unique style of Jewish women, modern headwear, and provide reviews of world collections, as well as anticipate trends for several seasons ahead. My uniqueness lies in my ability to transform mass-market items into luxury looks, helping readers to showcase individuality and stay on trend. In addition to fashion, I also discuss traditions, holidays, and creating a homey atmosphere.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Breaks bonds between people mistrust and betrayal. Restores love. Only true love can forgive and accept again.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I had a complicated divorce, and I spent 9 years in the courts. It toughened me up and gave me the strength to come out a winner. Today I am no longer afraid of anything. I have grown as a person through this difficult path. And I realize that this is what made me this way.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
On the ideas of my life partner. Together, we are a strong team, and all our ideas complement each other, enabling us to achieve joint success. And this, you must agree, is very rare.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Lose weight. )))). I’d stop working out, stop dieting. And start savoring this life with all its delights.
