We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kayla Caley. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Kayla, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Enjoy time with my son & husband before the day starts over breakfast & playing in the playroom
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
After photographing over 150 weddings & documenting couples since 2018, I fall in love with my ‘job’ more and more every year. Each era of life is so valuable. Whether you’re in the season of engagement, planning a wedding, or you are about to have an anniversary. My goal is to one day have you surrounded by all your printed images laid out on the floor in your living room- surround by moment, memories, and stories. What an honor it is to document these special memories for couples all around the world.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
Just because I came from a small town, doesn’t mean I can’t do big things
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Thinking that because no one else is choosing the same path you are, the path isn’t valid or obtainable. I quickly learned that everyone is more than capable of dreaming big but there’s only a select few that are willing to go after it even after all the failing.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The more likes, shares, & follows you have; the more successful you are!
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What light inside you have you been dimming?
Stepping out into nature – specifically the beach
