Debbie N. Goldberg of State College, PA on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Debbie N. Goldberg. Check out our conversation below.

Debbie N., it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I love spending time with my grandchildren, family, friends and traveling. I am enjoying learning how to create illustrations using AI. It’s a great way for me to funnel passion and creativity.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Debbie Goldberg. I’m a Spiritual Life Coach, Teacher, Author, and retired therapist. After 18 years of providing mental health and substance abuse treatment, I experienced a profound Spiritual awakening through direct communion with God, Jesus, and the Angels.

Since then, I’ve been Divinely guided to write books and offer Spiritual Coaching to help others reconnect with Divine Love and remember who they truly are. All of my books—including Creating A Life Worth Living, A Divinely Ordered Life, Intuition – The Voice of God, and my new, yet to be published children’s book, God’s Miracle Garden—have been Spirit-dictated.

My work is non-denominational and focused on healing, awakening, and helping people feel safe, seen, and loved. Everything I share comes from Divine guidance with the intention of supporting others on their journey Home to themselves.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed that I didn’t matter. I thought my feelings didn’t matter, that I was unlovable, and that I was a burden or annoyance to my parents. I felt like a disregarded entity. I was there, but unseen and unheard. That belief shaped how I saw myself for many years.

It wasn’t until my Spiritual awakening—when I began communicating directly with God and Jesus—that everything started to shift. They poured Love into me every single day, reminding me over and over how deeply loved I am. Over time, I began to believe them. They taught me that I am perfect Love, just as I was created. They gently healed all the pain and faulty beliefs about myself I had been carrying in my heart.

Through that relationship, I learned what it means to truly love and respect myself—not from ego, but from Divine truth. I stopped seeing myself through the distorted image…the false self I had created, and began seeing myself the way God sees me.

I no longer feel empty like I did for so many years. Today, I actually like who I am—and more importantly, I love myself. That kind of healing doesn’t come from the outside world. It only comes from a personal, intimate relationship with Divine Love.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
The defining wounds of my life are many—feeling invisible as a child or when I was noticed it was a negative experience, my parents’ divorce, experiencing emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, and later, my own divorce. The impact of those experiences created deep scars which manifested into self-rejecting, self-loathing beliefs. Those beliefs created a constant undercurrent of abandonment, rejection, a sense of unworthiness, and fear for both my emotional and physical safety.

In order to cope, I developed self-sabotaging behaviors and defense mechanisms that kept me emotionally disconnected from others. I stayed emotionally distant, walled off my heart, because I didn’t know how to manage my feelings or take responsibility for them. I didn’t know how to be emotionally intimate with myself or anyone else. I simply didn’t feel safe enough to feel my feelings due to not knowing how to feel them or how someone would react to them. I didn’t know how to keep myself safe, so I just stuffed my feelings. Therefore, I perpetuated self-abuse by not making my feelings important or allowing myself to be seen or heard. My emotional detachment was an ineffective way of keeping me safe.

As a therapist, I used the same clinical tools on myself that I offered my clients. While they provided some help, I eventually realized that the healing was only surface-level. I hadn’t yet accessed the deeper layers of pain or the root, or really the truth of the false beliefs I held about myself.

That deeper healing didn’t come until I experienced a Spiritual awakening and began a relationship with God and Jesus. Through Divine Love and guidance, I was gently led through the process of healing each wound—one by one. We revisited every painful moment, and God helped me see those experiences with new eyes and learn forgiveness. It was a full emotional and Spiritual excavation—what I now recognize as profound inner child work.

I was introduced to the practice of Inner Bonding through a workshop with Dr. Margaret Paul, and I began incorporating that process into my meditations with God and Jesus. That’s where the real transformation happened. It was in those sacred conversations that I learned how to fully feel, process, and release my pain—while receiving the unconditional Love and truth that replaced it.

Today, I use a similar approach with my clients, helping them connect with their own Spiritual guidance so they can heal from within. Healing at this depth isn’t just emotional—it’s Spiritual. This healing is life-changing as you connect with the depths of your Soul, and it’s only possible through a relationship with Divine Love. You become aware of your Divine Oneness, and awaken to your true self.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I’m committed—no matter how long it takes—to continuing to expand in consciousness and fully step into the expression of who I truly am. My deepest desire is to live in alignment with what I came here to do, and to keep growing from a sense of wholeness, creating, and teaching Divine truth.

I’m devoted to staying present and rooted in Divine truths, not the limited perceptions of the world around us. Whether it’s through books, poems, memes, songs, or podcasts, I will continue to share what I’ve learned in ways that bring me joy—and hopefully inspire others along the way.

I want to help people awaken to the profound love that already lives within them. I want them to remember how guided and supported they are in every step of life, and to realize that they are powerful creators—already whole, already worthy, and deeply loved.

My soul is committed to helping others heal by connecting them to Divine Love within themselves, because I know from personal experience that this is where true transformation begins.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What will you regret not doing?
I don’t believe I’ll have any regrets. I’m doing what I’m being Divinely guided to do, and that brings me joy and peace. I don’t follow the ego’s voice or the fear of missing out. I trust that nothing could make me happier than living out what God has planned for me.

Each day, I live with the awareness that I am deeply loved, guided, and cared for by the goodness of God. That doesn’t mean life is without challenges—I try not to get caught up in the illusions, limitations, the ego’s constructs, or negativity of the world. That’s where regret tends to live.

I choose to stay aligned with Divine truth and because of that, I live in gratitude for every part of this journey—no matter how long it takes, or how unexpected the path may be.
