An Inspired Chat with Lee Crawford of Miami Beach

We recently had the chance to connect with Lee Crawford and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Lee, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Mornings, afternoons, and nights on the beach, no drama, peace and quiet.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
“Ceewurld” refers to Ceewurld Entertainment Group, a Miami-based entertainment and promotion company, founded by Mr. Sea, also known as Ceewurld. The company provides video production services and focuses on artist development, entertainment, and promotion. Ceewurld Entertainment Group has been operating since 2011, becoming a legal entity in 2012, and is known for its exclusive resources, celebrity contacts, and community involvement.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I used to think successful people were the smarter than I was. This belief used to intimidate me and my efforts to do great things as a child. I always did great things but I allowed others to take precedence over my accomplishments. As I grew older and grew more established I was amazed how wrong I was. Working with others and those who believed in me helped me grow more confidently in business.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
SURVIVAL. There are two worlds that exist, the privileged world and the disadvantaged. I was ironically fortunate enough to experience both ways of living. At my time of suffering, I was forced to find solutions to eat, sleep, and create income to survive. those skills can’t be taught. Through the skills I’ve learned how to focus on not creating more suffering because I could identify certain paths that would lead to my suffering and redirect it. A privileged life consists of depending on outside forces to keep us comfortable, then when those forces fail we’re subjected into suffering and continue to suffer until help arrives. In my case don’t wait for outside forces to fail, suffering taught me how to prevail and that’s a great advantage over the privileged.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I’ve been let down so many time I stopped admiring people. I admire animals. Animals can be selfless, resilient, trustworthy, and loyal, way more than any man or woman.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
Most people are not forgiving. I had to move thousand of miles away from family and friends to reinvent myself. It was never my intention to become who I am today or who I’m becoming. so when those I left in my past witness who I am they will always only know the old version. Unfortunately instead of being supportive, they rather try to remind myself and those around me of the version they knew. The whole reason for leaving the company of bad people was because I was not a bad person. I miss a lot of people I had to distance myself from, not because of hate, but the love I found for myself.
