Meet Ashleigh E. Cromer of Be Strong in Deerfield Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashleigh E. Cromer.

Cromer was born and raised in Kentucky, she left Kentucky when she was eighteen to become the next American Idol, clearly, that didn’t happen and something much greater occurred.

Ashleigh is the CEO of Be Strong, who left her position as the VP of corporate social responsibility in a marketing agency to save and improve the lives of young people. Throughout her career in entertainment and marketing, specializing in production, digital strategy and brand development, she developed a deep understanding of the need for both corporate and nonprofit partners to bring about transformational and sustainable change while increasing revenue through customer affinity.

Ashleigh has leveraged her business expertise to advance the interest of Be Strong to create lifelong improvement in the lives of young people across North America. In her 6+ years at Be Strong, she has led the organization to a national grassroots footprint of thousands of student representatives serving annually, connected young people in crisis with trusted help through positive peer influence, relationships and technology, and developed a brand that is trusted by students, teachers, administrators, guardians, brands and customers, while advancing a comprehensive program with demonstrated impact.

As one who has personally experienced the effects of childhood trauma and navigating mental health, the work of Be Strong is personal for Ashleigh. Her heart is to serve those who, like her when she was a child, are looking for help, hope, resilience, healthy relationships, joy and purpose, while facing adversity.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The hardest time in my life was when I didn’t realize that my pain had a purpose. When connecting to my transformative resilience I was free to reach my full potential and more.

1. My Grandfather, Dr. William Cromer Jr.– Grandpa taught me the true greatness of being a human that lives their life to serve others.

  1. Greg Hauptner: Founder of G-Star School of the Arts & Studios
    – Greg was the first person that really invested in me professionally and truly tapped into my true potential, he also gave me the book ‘Producing for Dummies’ which changed my life.
  2. Mark Alfieri, Founder/CEO of BrandStar
    – Mark and I connected on believing that communication can change + save the world and to never fear while failing forward. He allowed me professional freedoms to push the norm and create, I will forever be thankful for him for that. Mark has continued to teach, invest, cheerlead, advocate and advise me today.
  3. Roy Moore, Founder of Be Strong
    – Roy on most days is my spirit animal! He has a brilliant balance of compassionate leadership, drive and energy that will outwork anyone. I fell in love with Be Strong because of the authentic love for children from its founder with a strong focus on being sustainable while creating a meaningful difference + relationships. Roy is our volunteer Global 100 CEO/Founder, he’s a gift to this country and our children by his leadership.
