Dianna Elizabeth shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Dianna, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
I love this question. I also feel like it’s such an important one for anyone and everyone. especially for busy business owners!
For me, my music. I play the piano and sing and that’s my therapy. It brings me back down and grounds me and helps me forget about the fast pace of life. It allows me to tune in with me again outside of business and everything else!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Dianna Elizabeth! I’m a luxury bridal hairstylist based in South Florida, where I’m blessed to work with brides from all over. I also have a team of incredible artists, and we offer both hair and makeup services for not only weddings but events as well. What I love most about what I do goes so much deeper than hair and makeup; it’s about creating an atmosphere where my brides feel seen, cared for, and completely confident stepping into one of the most important days of their lives. My approach is always tailored, detail-driven, and focused on enhancing each bride’s natural beauty. I truly believe the getting-ready experience sets the tone for the entire wedding day, and I make it my mission to bring a calm, positive, and fun energy into the room while delivering artistry that beautifully reflects who they are.
Beyond working with brides, I’m also building something close to my heart (a little passion project I’ll be sharing soon!) that’s all about community and bringing artists together.
What makes my journey unique is that it’s always been about creating with intention. Whether that’s styling for a bride, building a dream team of artists, or designing a community where others can thrive. Right now, I’m focused on expanding both my bridal beauty brand and my passion project, continuing to raise the bar for what’s possible in this industry.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
I don’t think there is just one person who taught me about work. I came from a background where I was always working 2-3 jobs at a time. I have always been an artist with the passion of doing hair and makeup, so while I was pursuing that and freelancing, I was always working other part time jobs to pay bills. Whether it was in restaurants serving, being a receptionist, bartending, makeup counters. You name it I have probably done it. I feel that all of these jobs and experiences shaped me to learn about communication, professionalism, and working with people. I worked in a salon for years and during that time became more immersed in the bridal industry and that lead me to working with some amazing artists who really helped me understand and learn the bridal beauty world and how business is done. And I am still learning every day. I have many people to thank for being a part of my journey and to help me continue to grow.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That you have to be grateful for everything that you have no matter how big or small and to celebrate even the smallest of wins.
I love the saying “remember when you prayed for everything you currently have?” Often times we forget about all of the hard work and hours that we have spent going after our dreams. To stay humble, and to be grateful for me is the something that yes, maybe success could teach me, but I wouldn’t acknowledge it as much as I do if I had not gone through hard times and the struggles that I did.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am working on a project that will bring so many artists together. It started as a small idea and it has flourished. I can’t say much about it currently, but I am so excited to see it come to life! I can’t wait to share it with everyone as I know it will be life changing for so many people.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
ABSOLUTELY! I truly, truly love what I do, and I have had a love for it ever since I was a little girl. Everything I do in my life whether it is work or my artistic hobbies like music and singing, I do it because I love it and I am passionate about it. When I was younger and started out in my career, this may have been a very different answer as I was always so concerned about how good I was and if people noticed. I had to work on that a lot! Now 15 years of being in the beauty industry, everything I do, I do as a service to others with heart because it’s simply what I love. I don’t need or want recognition or praise. I just want to continue making woman feel beautiful, on the inside and out.
