We’re looking forward to introducing you to Krisztian Pivarnyik . Check out our conversation below.
Hi Krisztian , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Traveling! Whenever I can carve out time, I make it a priority to explore both the U.S. and destinations abroad. For me, running a law firm doesn’t mean being tied to an office—it’s about building a life filled with experiences. Travel gives me the chance to immerse myself in new cultures, connect with people from all walks of life, and see the world’s diversity firsthand. I believe you only live once, and one of the best ways to honor that is to experience as much of the world as possible.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Krisztián Pivarnyik, an immigration attorney and founder of a boutique law firm in Miami, Pivarnyik Miskolczi Law Firm. My journey began as an immigrant myself, and that experience fuels my passion for helping others navigate the complex U.S. immigration system. What makes my practice unique is that I focus not only on achieving results but also on understanding each client’s personal story—because behind every petition, there is a family, a dream, or a new beginning.
I started my firm with the belief that high-quality legal representation shouldn’t feel distant or inaccessible. We pride ourselves on being responsive, transparent, and creative in finding solutions—even when cases seem impossible. Beyond immigration law, I see my work as building bridges: between cultures, opportunities, and futures. Right now, I’m excited about expanding my practice, continuing to grow as an entrepreneur, and helping clients around the world turn their vision of life in the U.S. into reality.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My mom taught me the most about work. She was born in a small village in Hungary and, through perseverance and grit, built her own law firm. Watching her turn humble beginnings into a respected career showed me that nothing is handed to you—you have to create your own opportunities. She instilled in me the belief that hard work, resilience, and determination are the keys to achieving results, no matter where you start from.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that not everyone who appears to act in your best interest truly is—especially in business. Some people are motivated by their own self-interest, and that’s a lesson you only learn through experience. Be open, but protect your trust. Trust is something that should always be earned, never given away freely.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies the immigration field tells itself is that the U.S. system is built purely on merit and fairness. The truth is, outcomes are often inconsistent, and sometimes it feels more like luck than merit. I’ve seen talented, hardworking, and highly deserving individuals fall through the cracks due to technicalities or inefficiencies, while others succeed without the same qualifications. The system needs serious reform to ensure that fairness and merit aren’t just ideals we talk about, but values that are actually practiced.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
feel most at peace when I’m at home with my wife and our dog, enjoying the simple moments of everyday life. Traveling and discovering new places also brings me peace—it reminds me of how big and beautiful the world is. And whenever I get the chance to visit my family back in Europe, I feel grounded and grateful, as if everything comes full circle.
