Allee Mackey of Wellington Fl on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Allee Mackey and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Allee , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Would YOU hire you? Why or why not?
Yes, I would hire myself! As a mom of three living in South Florida, I truly understand how quickly expenses can add up, which is why I keep my photography services affordable without sacrificing quality. I also know firsthand how important patience and understanding are when working with children, and I bring that same energy into every session. If I were looking for a photographer, I would want someone who can capture genuine moments, make kids feel comfortable, and respect a family’s budget… and that’s exactly what I provide.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Allee Mackey, the face behind Allee Mackey Photography. I’m a South Florida photographer, a wife, and a proud mom of three little ones. I built my business around the belief that families deserve beautiful, high-quality photo galleries without breaking the bank. Alongside my photography services, I’ve also expanded into Photo Booth rentals, giving clients even more ways to capture and enjoy their special moments. My goal is always to create an experience that’s fun, affordable, and filled with memories you’ll treasure.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Honestly, it’s been my local community. From the very beginning, families and clients here trusted me.. even when I was still finding my style and learning the ins and outs of running a business. Their support gave me the confidence to keep going, to grow not only as a photographer but also as a business owner. Every booking, every kind word, every referral has reminded me that they believed in my work before I fully believed in myself. I’m so grateful to this community for seeing my potential and helping me step into it.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
One kind word I’d say to my younger self: “It’s possible.”
It’s possible to run your own photography business while homeschooling three kids. It’s possible to find balance between being a mom, a wife, and an entrepreneur. It’s possible to create a life where both your family and your passions thrive. I would remind her that the hard days don’t mean she’s failing; they’re proof that she’s building something meaningful, and balance will come with time and trust in herself.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d probably say I’m always up for a good chitchat, because I love connecting over the little things in life. But more than that, they know I value true, genuine friendship—the kind built on trust, laughter, and being there for each other through every season.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace late at night, editing photos with a favorite snack, knowing my children are tucked into bed, safe and happy. Those quiet moments remind me why I do what I do; capturing meaningful memories for families while balancing the life I love at home.
