Meet Danielle Carney Krasner of Full Bloom Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Carney Krasner.

Hi Danielle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Like many therapists, I came to this work through my own journey with mental health. As a teen, therapy gave me the support and understanding I needed, and I felt a strong pull to pay it forward and offer that same care for others. I went on to study Psychology at Penn State University and earned my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University.

Over the years, I worked in a variety of settings – community mental health, substance abuse treatment, and group practice – before taking the leap into private practice and starting Full Bloom Therapy in 2022. Trusting myself to build something of my own has been the one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made. It allows me the freedom to shape my work in a way that feels authentic to me, while also supporting the life I want, especially in this season of my life as a new mom.

Along the way, I’ve continued to grow my skills through advanced training — becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist through iaedp, training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, and completing Perinatal Mental Health training through Postpartum Support International. I truly believe learning never ends, and my goal is always to deepen the ways I can support clients in creating lasting, holistic healing.

At Full Bloom Therapy, I specialize in working with ambitious adults who often look like they “have it all together” on the outside, but inside struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, body image concerns, or the impact of past trauma. I love helping clients reconnect with themselves, set boundaries that protect their peace, and build self-trust so they can thrive in a way that feels aligned and authentic.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have definitely been challenges! I’ve had to work through my own patterns of perfectionism and people-pleasing, especially in starting a business and creating boundaries that actually support me. Looking back at my journey, the moments that stand out are when I realized something was no longer aligned for me and chose to trust myself enough to make a change.

That process has meant letting go of old beliefs, releasing some control, and learning to take the next step even when I couldn’t see the whole path. While not easy, those experiences have been gifts I can now pass along to my clients who are navigating similar struggles.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Full Bloom Therapy is a virtual private practice rooted in the belief that true healing goes beyond symptom management. I work with adults who are tired of feeling stuck in patterns of self-criticism, anxiety, disordered eating, body image struggles, or the lingering impact of childhood trauma.

What sets my work apart is my down-to-earth, compassionate style. I don’t believe therapy should feel cold or clinical. I meet my clients with warmth, curiosity, and my own humanness, creating a space where they feel safe to let their guard down. My goal is to help them not just cope, but to reconnect with their inherent worth, feel at home in their bodies, and create lives that feel deeply fulfilling.

What I’m most proud of is when clients tell me they feel truly seen and supported – that our work helps them access parts of themselves they didn’t even realize or forgot were there. To me, that’s the essence of therapy: guiding people back to their own wholeness.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Every summer, my family took a beach vacation with both sides of our extended family. I remember those trips being full of laughter, joy, and connection. Looking back, I realize how much they taught me the value of rest, play, and time with loved ones – all things I continue to cherish today.
