Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolina Giraldo.
Hi Carolina , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Carolina Giraldo, I’m 25 years old, and I’m from Medellín, Colombia. I have been working full-time in the travel and content creation industry for about five years, building a career that combines adventure, storytelling, and digital marketing.
From the age of 14 to 16, I worked extensively as a model in Colombia, appearing in music videos and moving actively within the local creative industry. This early experience not only helped me grow my social media presence but also introduced me to the world of content creation and networking in the entertainment and lifestyle space.
At 16, I moved to New Zealand to learn English, an experience that opened my world to travel, adventure, and extreme sports, sparking my passion for exploring new places. After returning to Colombia, I completed a diploma in digital marketing and started working in social media management. By the age of 17, I was already working as an account director in a marketing agency.
During COVID, I transitioned to producing content for a well-known figure in Colombia’s travel industry. Traveling full-time with him, we created content for hotels and destinations when very few people were able to work in travel. This experience allowed me to grow professionally, collaborate with major global brands, and establish a strong presence in the industry.
In 2022, I fully embraced extreme sports and adventure activities, including skydiving, bungee jumping, freediving, and swimming with sharks. Adventure and exploration are central to my brand and social media, which is focused on inspiring others to travel, experience new destinations, and embrace challenges.
also start producing musical videos for artist like: Greicy, Mike Bahia, Valeria Sandoval and even work with HBO Miami creating social media content for one of their seasons
Currently, I run my own marketing agency in Colombia, managing hotels and other clients. This allows me to work from anywhere, giving me the freedom to travel while growing my personal brand. Over the past few years, I have traveled to approximately 38 countries and collaborated with renowned global brands such as Beautiful destinations, Levi’s, DJI, Insta360, Corona, and Adidas. I have also worked with some of the world’s most iconic hotels, including Four Seasons properties, and with governments promoting tourism, including Visit Jordan, Visit Malta, and Visit Dubai, creating high-quality content that showcases destinations worldwide.
What I love most about my work is the freedom it gives me to move, explore, and inspire others—especially women—to travel solo, step out of their comfort zones, and shift their mindset. My work is not just my career; it’s my way of living, blending adventure, travel, and creativity to motivate others to embrace new experiences and see the world differently.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. While having this lifestyle is truly a dream, it comes with many ups and downs, especially as a freelancer. Running my own social media management business has given me stability and a reliable income, but work in social media can fluctuate a lot. Some months are full and exciting, and others can feel uncertain.
One of my biggest struggles was in 2022, after a period of intense travel and extreme adventures. I experienced a strong adrenal rush for months, and my nervous system couldn’t handle it, which led to a serious period of depression that lasted around six months. It was a very challenging time, but going through it taught me invaluable lessons about slow living, self-care, and presence. It helped me understand the importance of taking care of my well-being first, balancing adventure with rest, and appreciating the things I do have.
These experiences, while difficult, have shaped the way I work and live today, giving me resilience, perspective, and a deeper understanding of the balance between growth, adventure, and mental health.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

I have built a strong travel brand and audience, but many people don’t know that I also handle audiovisual production, digital strategy, and sometimes serve as the face of the campaigns I create.
I have collaborated with global brands such as Levi’s, DJI, Insta360, Corona, and Adidas, and worked with iconic hotels like Four Seasons, as well as tourism boards including Visit Jordan, Visit Malta, and Visit Duba and beautiful destinations.i. I am proud of building a career that allows me to travel freely while producing inspiring content and supporting clients through my own marketing agency in Colombia.
What sets me apart is my unique combination of skills and personality. I have strong networking abilities, a natural charisma, and a genuine care for people—I strive to make everyone I work with feel valued. I excel at creating social media content, from high-quality productions to iPhone content, and I have a strong visual eye for storytelling. My modeling experience allows me to be part of the campaigns I produce, giving my content an authentic and personal touch. This blend of creativity, strategy, and presence allows me to inspire people
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5 years, the travel industry will be shaped by technology, authenticity, and sustainability. AI will play a major role, helping brands and creators produce more personalized, organic, and realistic content while maintaining a human touch. Audiences will increasingly seek genuine, immersive experiences, pushing brands to highlight unique, culturally rich, and eco-conscious travel.
Short-form video, interactive content, and niche communities will dominate social media, rewarding creators who combine strategic storytelling with high-quality visuals. Responsible travel and sustainability will become central to consumer choices and brand strategies.
Ultimately, the future of travel marketing will prioritize authentic experiences, trust, and meaningful connections. Technology like AI will enhance these efforts, enabling creators and brands to inspire and engage audiences in new, impactful ways.
