Exploring Life & Business with Rezeda Moita of Zen Insurance USA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rezeda Moita.

Hi Rezeda, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out as a stay-at-home mom when I had my first son 12 years ago. At the time, I was on maternity leave from my previous business in event planning. My husband was already working in the insurance field, and during playdates with other moms from the Russian-speaking community, we often shared about what our husbands did for work.

Since many of us were new to the country and raising small children, we supported each other however we could. Soon, the moms began asking me to check with my husband about insurance plans for their families — the pricing, coverage, and options. Because my husband doesn’t speak Russian, I became the messenger. Through this process, I started learning more about insurance and its terminology.

Within a year, I decided to get my own insurance license, as I had already built a significant list of clients. With a small child at home, I began growing my business — attending networking events, posting in Facebook groups, and building connections. Over time, my clients came to trust me and appreciate my work. Their referrals allowed my business to grow steadily, year after year.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not! Even though I consider myself lucky to have been in the right place at the right time, the first couple of years of building the business were tough. The insurance industry is constantly changing — with new plans, rules, and regulations to keep up with.

On top of that, working with people requires a lot of patience. Most of my clients come from very different mentalities regarding healthcare and insurance, so there’s always a big educational piece involved — explaining how the system works in this country before even describing the products themselves.

With the time and effort I poured into supporting my clients, my husband used to joke that I should be getting paid twice as much. But at the end of the day, I truly love what I do — helping people and guiding them through these decisions is deeply rewarding for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of Zen Insurance USA. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a health, dental, and life insurance agency based in Hollywood Florida, now expanded and offering our services in Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Illinois as well.
Even though our niche is the Russian-speaking community, we work with all individuals and families who are looking for insurance plans.

What sets us apart is the time we dedicate to each client — educating them and explaining the plans in detail so they can make conscious, informed decisions. We provide tailored services to each individual and family based on their needs.

Beyond being an insurance professional, I am also a spiritual mentor. I believe in karma and in serving people with integrity — always focusing on what truly supports their best interests. Transparency and honesty are the foundation of everything we do, and we are proud of that.
We are committed to keeping our clients in their “zen” by delivering reliable and expertly tailored insurance solutions our clients can trust.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can work with me in a few different ways. First and foremost, if you or someone you know need health, dental, or life insurance, I’d be happy to guide you through the process. I take the time to educate my clients so they fully understand their options and can make confident, informed decisions.

Collaboration is always welcome as well. I partner with doctor offices, wellness practitioners, and other professionals who share the goal of supporting individuals and families. Together, we can create more resources and opportunities for people to feel secure and cared for.

And of course, support can be as simple as spreading the word. Referrals and recommendations mean a lot to me because most of my business has grown through trust and word-of-mouth. If you know someone who could benefit from what I offer, connecting us is one of the greatest ways to show support.
