We recently had the chance to connect with Natalia Magdaleno and have shared our conversation below.
Natalia, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
“I lose track of time when I’m contemplating the landscape of Miami. This city is a perfect blend of vibrant life and natural beauty—surrounded by water, palm trees, and breathtaking sunsets. There’s something about the ocean breeze and golden skies that grounds me. In those quiet moments, I feel completely present—and somehow, I find myself again.”
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
“I lose track of time when I’m contemplating the landscape of Miami. This city is a perfect blend of vibrant life and natural beauty—surrounded by water, palm trees, and breathtaking sunsets. There’s something about the ocean breeze and golden skies that grounds me. In those quiet moments, I feel completely present—and somehow, I find myself again.”
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
“The relationship that most shaped how I see myself is the one I had with my father. He taught me that with determination and focus, nothing is impossible. His belief in perseverance and discipline gave me the confidence to pursue my goals—even when the path wasn’t easy. That foundation still guides me today.”
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
“There have been many moments when I felt like giving up—but for me, giving up has never been an option. Each challenge tested my strength, but also reminded me of my purpose. I’ve learned that resilience isn’t about never falling—it’s about always getting back up.”
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
“Yes—the public version of me is the real me. I believe in staying authentic no matter the setting. I like to be myself always, whether I’m working, creating, or simply connecting with others. There’s power in being genuine, and I think people can feel that.”
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
“If I retired tomorrow, I think my customers would miss more than just my smile when I welcome them—they’d miss the care I put into every detail. I’ve often been told that my semi-permanent makeup work looks so natural, people can’t even tell they’ve had something done. That subtle, effortless result is what they love most, and what I take the most pride in.”
