We recently had the chance to connect with Celymer Rodriguez and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Celymer, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What battle are you avoiding?
I’m avoiding to believe the judge or the impostor syndrome inside of me , because the only way to succeed is believe in yourself in you abilities and trust the process
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! my name is celymer and I’m the founder of love in a cup, a specialty coffee concept built on the belief that coffee should be more than just a habit, it should be a moment of joy, connection and curiosity.
We carefully select high quality beans and se alternative milks to create a surprising and elevate coffee experience that are still accessible and welcoming, we want to people slow down, taste something new and feel like the belong here.
What make love in a cup special is that we don’t just sell coffee, we are building culture around it. we want to change the way people relate to coffee by making quality exciting, unique combinations. Right now, we are focusing in growing our community, connecting with curious coffee lovers, and inspiring more people to fall in love with the ritual of coffee again
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who i had to be i was someone simply following the expected path, study, graduate and work in what you studied. I earned a degree in radiology back in Venezuela thinking that was my one direction.
But when I emigrated, everything changes. I discovered I had passion I had ever explored and that I was really good at things I had even been taught. especially in hospitality. I realized that i didn’t have to be defined by my diploma, but by what I love, by what lights me up. Now I choose to build my life and my business from that place, from love, creativity and purpose, not just for expectation
When did you last change your mind about something important?
Recently I changed my mind about something very important, how I see life. For long time, I was focused on reaching goals, chasing results, trying to control what’s next. I thought success was about arriving a destination.
But lately, I’ve realized that what truly matters is what fills you, what gives you peace and presence. Now I focus more on the experience, on what feels aligned and meaningful. I have learned to breathe when I feel overwhelmed, to trust that everything will be okay, and to keep believing in myself even when the path feels uncertain.
This mindset shift has changed the way I run my business, how i connect with people, and how I serve, it’s not just about doing more, it’s about doing what feels true.
Just like coffee, sometimes we need to slow down to taste the richness of the moment.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
One belief I’m fully committed to not matter what takes is that people need to start being mor mindful about their experiences and seek quality in everything they allow into their lives, including something as simple and sacred as a cup of coffee.
With love in a cup, I’m not just serving coffee. I’m creating a space and ritual where people can pause, connect and feel something real. I believe that even the smallest moments loke sipping coffee can be filled with intention beauty and love.
Even if takes time to frow, I’m committed it this project because I know that when we do things from heart, with purpose and care, they create ripple effect that truly lasts
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply and what I think many people overlook is that fear and change are inevitable parts of life. Most people believe fear is a sign to stop, to pull back. But I’ve learned that fear can actually be a guide, a signal that something important is shifting.
what We’re often really afraid of it’s not fear itself, but change and yet, change is nature. The ocean isn’t the same every day, The sky doesn’t look the same every day. And neither do we.
When we make peace with change and see it as evolution, we stay in motion. our energy flows, and that opens space for blessings to arrive. and when we let fear be a force that moves us instead of one that paralyzes us, we go much further.
Don’t let fear stop you. Let it push you toward your purpose.
