Good morning Christopher, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Intelligence. I’m always trying to learn and grow, so I value being around people who challenge me. If I’m the smartest person in the room, I’m in the wrong room.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Christopher Dean, and I’m the founder and creative director of Do Whatever You Want, a streetwear brand built to make a lasting impact. What sets us apart is our approach—we keep things simple but bold. We’re not chasing trends; we’re focused on creating clean, timeless pieces that speak loudly without trying too hard.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
A woman named Catt Catrett. She was one of the few people who didn’t see me as just some inexperienced kid. Instead, she spoke life into me and reminded me of my value. At 23, it feels like everyone thinks they know what’s best for you, trying to push you down paths that don’t align with who you are. Catt helped me block out that noise and see myself clearly.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I used to fear what people would say or think. It held me back more times than I can count. But once I stopped caring, I realized that most people wish they had that same freedom. A lot of judgment comes from insecurity—people project their fears onto you. I had to learn not to let their fear speak for me.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
That there’s good in everyone—no matter how they try to hide it or how the world chooses to frame them. I truly believe it’s there, even if it’s buried deep.

That as humans, we all crave connection—even if we don’t admit it. Some pretend they don’t need friendships or relationships, but I see the value in them. I love connecting with different people and hearing their stories. That’s where real understanding and growth come from.
