TYMUR TRUSHKOVSKYI shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
TYMUR, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I usually wake up around 7 a.m., have breakfast, and take my dog for a walk. By 9 a.m., I’m at my desk preparing for the New York trading session, actively trading and hosting a live stream on YouTube. After the session, I analyze my trades and continue learning to sharpen my skills. By around 1 p.m., I’m free to return home and spend the rest of the day with my family, playing with my son and relaxing.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tymur Trushkovskyi, originally from Ukraine, and for the past three years I’ve been living in the United States — currently based in Miami. I’m 37 years old and work as a day trader and investor, while also helping others learn how to navigate the financial markets. In my previous life, I was a professional DJ, but after moving to a new country, I realized I didn’t want to start that career from scratch again. Instead, I decided to fully dedicate myself to trading — a field that first caught my interest back in 2021, when the COVID pandemic made me question the stability of my previous profession. Now I’m building a new path in a field that combines logic, discipline, and the ability to grow continuously.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a DJ and deeply involved in the nightlife industry. I organized events, managed parties, and worked as an art director for a nightclub. After graduating from university, I threw myself into that world and built a career around music and entertainment. But when COVID hit, I started to question the long-term stability of that path. And when the war began in my home country, I realized that life would never be the same — that was the moment I decided to close that chapter and move on.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a moment when I almost gave up. I had decided to open an auto repair business and paid a year’s rent for the space in advance. Right at the start, during the renovation and equipment purchase phase, I was scammed and lost a significant amount of money. I had two options: walk away and lose everything I had already invested, or find a way to keep going. I chose to move forward — I borrowed money and finished what I started. Eventually, I managed to make the business successful and even sold it just before the war began in my country.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I think my closest friends would say that family matters most to me. Especially since the birth of my son, that bond has only grown stronger. It gave my life new meaning and shifted my priorities in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Everything I do now — in work and in life — is deeply connected to providing, protecting, and being present for my family.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Honestly, I think I would stop stressing over the little things. But beyond that, I don’t think I’d change much. I would continue doing exactly what I’m doing now, because I truly believe I’m living a good life. I feel happy, I’m present, and I enjoy the moment. Knowing I had ten years left would only make me appreciate it all even more — but not necessarily change my path.
