Ana Perrone of Miami Beach on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Ana Perrone. Check out our conversation below.

Ana, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My husband and cats Ziggy and Lulu bring me join and keep me grounded. I love being a homebody now more than ever. Love living in Miami Beach too, everything is at my doorstep.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Ana Perrone, and I’m the co-founder of Miami Beach Microblading and the creator of The Microblading App. I’ve been in the field of permanent makeup since 1999, performing cosmetic tattooing for over two decades and specializing in Microblading since 2014. I began teaching in 2016, and today I’m proud to be the only international Microblading trainer and instructor for Swiss Color® authorized to train other trainers in North America.

My mission has always been to provide clients, students, and fellow professionals with the highest standards of care and education. At Miami Beach Microblading, we operate in a medical environment under the supervision of our medical director, following strict aseptic protocols in accordance with the Florida Department of Health. It’s incredibly important to me that every service we offer—whether a procedure or a training—meets rigorous safety and quality standards.

Over the years, Miami Beach Microblading has grown into the top-rated Microblading studio and Swiss Color® training academy in South Florida, with over 500 five-star reviews on Google, Yelp, and Facebook. We’re based inside Miami Medspa LLC, where clients can also access a range of aesthetic and wellness services like CoolSculpting®, Morpheus8, and medically supervised weight-loss treatments including Semaglutide and Tirzepatide.

In 2017, I launched The Microblading App—a tool I created to help beauty professionals like myself save time, money, and space. I wanted to provide an easy way to go paperless with client consent forms and to store treatment photos securely and professionally. Today, the app has over 50,000 registered users worldwide and is known for being both affordable and user-friendly, with virtually 24/7 customer support.

I’m passionate about raising the standards in our industry—whether through exceptional service, thoughtful innovation, or empowering other professionals. I truly believe that when we blend artistry with integrity and education, we can change lives—one brow, one student, and one idea at a time.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My parents and my husband have been my greatest supporters, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have their love and encouragement in every stage of my journey. Even before I met my husband, I was blessed with a strong foundation at home. My parents always believed in my ideas and aspirations. They offered unwavering support without overindulgence—giving me the freedom to be creative while still guiding me with thoughtful, grounded advice.

Now, as an adult and entrepreneur, I’m grateful to have my husband as both my life partner and business partner. He’s my anchor in every sense of the word. On the most demanding days, his steady presence—and the comforting chaos of our cats—bring balance and calm to my life. Their support allows me to navigate the challenges of my work with clarity, focus, and resilience.

What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
After working in the beauty industry for over two decades, I’ve come to understand that it’s simply not possible to connect with everyone—and that’s perfectly okay. I’ve learned to accept that, at times, no matter how much effort I put in, some people may not resonate with me personally. What brings me peace is recognizing that I’m surrounded by many others who support and appreciate me just as I am. Their kindness and loyalty—often given freely and unconditionally—never cease to humble and inspire me.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
This is a sensitive topic that I usually choose to avoid discussing—both in my professional environment and within my family circle. In today’s world, political conversations often feel deeply polarized, not just in the U.S. but globally. It can seem like there’s little room for nuance, with many discussions leaning toward extremes. I genuinely believe in the value of respectful dialogue and open-mindedness, so it’s disheartening to see how difficult it has become to express thoughts without unintentionally offending or alienating others. It’s a reflection of the times we live in, and I hope we can move toward more balanced, understanding conversations in the future.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
My home has truly become my sanctuary. While I used to love traveling and exploring when I was younger, these days I find the most joy in quiet moments at home, spending time with my husband and our beloved cats. We’ve created a peaceful space that feels like a retreat from the busy world—so much so that even with three beautiful pools in our condo complex, I’m perfectly content sunbathing on a lounge chair right on our balcony. I still travel often for work, but when I’m home, I cherish the stillness. Maybe it’s a sign that I’m embracing a new chapter in life—one that values calm, comfort, and quality time over constant movement.
