An Inspired Chat with Keren Kilgore of Port Saint Lucie, Florida

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Keren Kilgore. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Keren, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I’m definitely walking a path. I didn’t arrive here by accident—every twist, detour, and breakthrough has led me to what I do now. For years, I’ve worked with authors and entrepreneurs, and I’ve seen how powerful it is when someone finds their voice and shares their story. That’s why I created Quantum Shift Publishing, the 90-Day Book Launch Blueprint, and my author coaching programs—to give people the tools, strategies, and confidence to bring their books and ideas into the world.

But it’s not just about publishing—it’s about transformation. The Mastery of Self 28-Day Experience was born from the realization that before we can share our message, we have to step fully into who we are.

Everything I do is connected by one thread: helping people unlock their potential and live with peace and purpose. I don’t see my work as separate ventures, but as pieces of the same path I’m walking—one that leads toward greater clarity, impact, and freedom, both for myself and for the people I serve.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the founder of Quantum Shift Media, where I help authors, coaches, speakers, and business owners publish, launch, and market their books so they can grow their visibility, impact, and income. With over 25 years in the publishing industry, I’ve guided hundreds of clients through every phase of the journey—from developing a powerful manuscript to creating a strategic launch and leveraging their book to open doors to speaking engagements, media features, and new business opportunities.

What makes my work unique is that I don’t just focus on getting a book into the world—I help my clients turn their book into a powerful business asset that works for them long after launch day. My signature 90-Day Book Launch Blueprint gives authors a clear, proven path to success, whether they’re publishing for the first time or relaunching an existing book.

I’m also passionate about the inner journey. Through my Mastery of Self 28-Day Experience, I help people step fully into who they are so they can write and live from a place of clarity, peace, and purpose. At the heart of everything I do is one mission: to help people unlock their potential, share their story, and create lasting impact in the world.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Bonds often break when we misinterpret situations or make assumptions about someone’s intentions. That’s where the principle of perception from my Mastery of Self work becomes so important. Perception is how we view the world—it’s the meaning we assign to events, and that meaning is often shaped by our past experiences. If we’re not careful, our history can distort what’s really happening in the present.

When we stay rooted in the Now and check our perceptions against the wisdom of our Greater Power, we’re more likely to see things clearly. That awareness gives us the power to shift our perspective. Perception is a choice—and when we choose to see through the lens of truth rather than assumption, we create space for understanding instead of division.

The same principle applies to the way we share our voice in the world. When you know who you are and what your purpose is, you can speak—or write—from a place of clarity and authenticity. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping people bring their books into the world. A book allows you to tell your story in your own words, without distortion, and to share the lessons, wisdom, and truth that can inspire others.

Relationships—and even entire communities—are restored when we use our voices to connect rather than divide. Whether in conversation or on the page, the clarity of your perception shapes the power of your message, and that’s what creates lasting bonds.

Bonds break when we see through the lens of assumption; they’re restored when we choose perception rooted in truth, grace, and the freedom to let others be themselves.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self: You are more loved, guided, and capable than you can possibly imagine right now. Trust the path, even when you can’t see where it’s leading. Hold on to your joy, your courage, and your curiosity—because those parts of you will carry you through the hardest seasons and lead you to the work you were created to do.

I recently visited the campus of my college and was reminded of who I was and who I’ve become over the decades. I came away with the deep internal knowing never to leave my younger self behind, but to take her with me because she carries the freedom, the spark, the laughter, and the deep connection to something greater than myself. I’d tell her to keep that light burning and to never let the world convince her to play small. Everything she dreams of is possible—and more.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
For me, the difference between a fad and a real foundational shift comes down to truth. A truth and a lie can’t live in the same space at the same time. When you believe something that isn’t true—about yourself, others, or the world—a part of you separates from your true Self. That part gets stored in your subconscious and quietly runs your programming for years, often without you realizing it.

The result? Negative thoughts, limiting beliefs, and the feeling of being stuck. Thoughts like, I’m unlovable, I’m a failure, fear, anxiety, depression, and more, are very common.

Many people turn to affirmations, and while they’re beautiful tools, they rarely work when those separated parts of you still believe the untruth. You can say the words over and over, but if a part of you is operating from outdated programming, nothing truly changes.

In the work that I do, a real foundational shift happens for people when I guide them into their subconscious, activate their imagination, and connect them with their Higher Power and get its viewpoint on the situation. In that place of connection, you let that part know the truth, and it comes into alignment with truth and with your true Self. That’s the work we do in the 28-Day Mastery of Self Experience. Every day, issues rise to the surface, and once you’re aware of them, you can shift them. When the truth replaces the lie, everything changes—not just for a moment, but permanently.”

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
One thing I understand deeply—and that many people don’t—is that you’re actually living as three versions of yourself. Your identity falls into three buckets. First, there’s YOU, operating as your Superconscious Mind—your spiritual, soul, Higher Self. I call this the Big I. Then there’s you, your Conscious Mind—your logical, rational, analytical self. This is the Captain or the Chooser, the part that exercises free will in human form. And finally, there’s the ‘little you,’ the little i—a separated, lower self that isn’t truly you, but often masquerades as you, operating from untruths and outdated programming.

To truly know yourself, you must know your SELF—the Big I, the truth of who you really are. You must be aware of the thoughts of your Conscious Mind, and you must also be able to recognize when the little i shows up so you can bring it back into alignment with truth.

I learned this in a profound way during a Transformational Meditation™ session. In my imagination, I saw was myself in matching khaki shirt and shorts, wearing hiking boots, and carrying an enormously heavy machete. I was trudging through the jungle, chopping down trees and vines, sweaty and exhausted—but determined to reach my destination even though I felt thoroughly stuck. I thought struggling was the only way forward.

Then came the turning point: I asked my Higher Power for its viewpoint. God said, “Look up.”

When I did, I saw a well-worn path right next to me leading in the same direction. It had been there the whole time, but my focus was so fixed on hacking my way forward that I didn’t see it.

That moment changed everything. I realized that for sixty years, making things harder than they needed to be had been my norm. Now, I spend less time with the machete in my hand and more time on the cleared path. And that’s the goal: To live more as the Big I, aligned with truth, and less as the little i. When things feel harder than they should be, it’s usually a sign that my perspective isn’t aligned with the Universe.

Knowing who YOU are is essential to peace and freedom in your life and business.
