We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kassie Meiler. Check out our conversation below.
Kassie, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Launching my podcast, You Herd It Here, this summer has been a huge proud moment for me. It felt like such a natural progression from my work at GOAT Social Media, taking the questions I’m asked most often, the insights I share with clients, and the content I’ve built over the years, and turning it into a platform where I can share that value with a wider audience. Seeing it come to life, hearing the positive feedback, and knowing it’s already helping people in their own social media journeys has been both exciting and incredibly rewarding.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Kassie Meiler, founder and director of GOAT Social Media, a boutique agency based in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. We specialize in helping brands tell their story through a strategic, engaging, and visually compelling social media strategy. What makes us unique is our ability to blend creativity with a data-driven approach, delivering not just beautiful posts, but measurable results that drive growth.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients across industries—from hospitality and construction to healthcare and the arts—tailoring our framework to meet each brand’s voice, audience, and goals. As mentioned, this summer, I also launched my own podcast, You Herd It Here, which has been an exciting way to share insider tips, answer the questions I get most often, and spotlight conversations that inspire better marketing.
At GOAT Social, our mission is simple: to make each business’s social media the greatest of all time, customized to their scale, goals, and level of commitment.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Running a business during COVID was a defining moment for me. I saw firsthand the resilience of people who stepped up and found ways to thrive despite the challenges. For me, that meant everything from sewing masks for first responders, family, and friends to staying positive and finding creative ways to connect with new clients during such an uncertain time. It also reinforced just how crucial social media is, not just for marketing but for keeping communities informed, connected, and supported when face-to-face wasn’t possible.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self that things take time, but to keep going. Every step, even the small ones, adds up, and the challenges you face now will shape the strength and perspective you’ll have later. Trust the process and stay the course.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire Taylor Swift for her character, not just her success and celebrity power. She has built a career rooted in authenticity, hard work, and staying true to her voice, even in the face of criticism or industry pressure. Her ability to connect with people through storytelling, advocate for artists’ rights, and remain gracious while navigating an incredibly public life is inspiring. She shows that influence is most powerful when it’s grounded in integrity and heart.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’d definitely lean toward what I was born to do. I’ve always known I wanted to work with people, be creative, and communicate—so what I’m doing now feels completely aligned with who I am. Building relationships, sharing ideas, and creating content that truly connects with others is exactly where I’m meant to be.
