Hi Sarah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am English born and bred. I am from the famous Roman City of Bath in England. I am a self taught artist. I have always just been able to draw and paint. i have had no formal training.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There are always obstacles in life, right? Thats the beauty of life, that we are all on this ride and you just go with the flow. It’s like a river you get carried away with it, and flow from one spot to the next.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I do not put myself in a box. I paint what I want and when I want. Sometimes I do not want to paint for months and then something gets triggered, and I get in the groove again. Normally something entrigues me and gives me the desire to paint.
What does success mean to you?
There is no real defining success for me. I always get a thrill when I see my paintings being enjoyed and displayed by their owners. I have paintings in restaurants, which is pretty cool to see, especially if I am dining there! I feel like I am a significant part of their ambiance.
