Meet Michelle Wilson of VIP Marketing Pros (VIP Marketing) in Sunny Isles Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Wilson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Michelle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
At age 15 I began working in the family business and quickly learned that I loved to work! I think they have a name for that “workaholic”, but for me it was a revelation that I was built for sales and marketing.

I credit my dad for teaching me the value of honesty, strength, endurance, an extremely dedicated work ethic, and a love for challenges. Working side by side with my dad every day after school help construct a strong foundation for my future entrepreneurial successes.

When I graduated high school, I was immediately hired by General Motors in my hometown of Motown, Michigan. At age 18, I was the executive assistant to two Executive Vice Presidents of General Motors, responsible for handling a wide range of duties which required me to think quickly on my feet and be on top of every possible situation.  By age 20, I was one of the top three points of contact for the entire General Motors Photographic Team which handled all necessary GM automobile graphic aspects.

At age 21, I decided to pursue the dream of owning my own business. I considered myself by this time something of a car buff, so a limousine service seemed like a fitting opportunity to use my knowledge and creativity. I conceptualized and launched VIP Limousine Service, which quickly became my new passion.

When the internet revolutionized the world of business, I realized that I was ready for some new challenges on the sales front – meaning entering the world of online marketing. I harnessed my aptitude and education and dove into the world of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). I was successful in mastering this exciting new form of marketing, and VIP Limousine Service quickly reached and maintained a position on the first page of Google for all searches related to the keyword “limousine”.

VIP Limousine Service rapidly grew to be one of the largest luxury limousine and bus transportation services in Michigan, servicing local public special events, national executive corporate accounts and national A-List Celebrities. The company was the recipient of several awards including Limousine & Chauffeur Transportation’s prestigious “National Operator of the Year Award”.

Eventually, sister companies were born: VIP Car Sales (an exotic car dealership), VIP Coachworks (a limousine manufacturing company) and VIP Marketing Pros (an online/offline marketing consultant agency).

Just prior to the market crash of 2008, I divested myself of my limousine service. I saw the writing on the wall, and knew it was time to shift my focus. Shortly thereafter, VIP Coachworks and VIP Car Sales were closed as banks began to shut down business lines of credit and the exotic car and custom limousine verticals became unsupportable.

My goal became to build out VIP Marketing Pros to its full potential. I assembled an even bigger team of marketing professionals (including high level programmers, graphic designers, content writers, social media strategists, trademark attorneys, photographers, videographers, printers, and others), added every business service I could think of, defined our mission and ideal partners, and created a specific niche model designed to solve an obvious problem.

The Problem: Business executives/owners don’t have the time or knowledge to focus on creating their own qualified marketing teams, or to hire and direct content writers, programmers, graphic designers, printers, and other components of a marketing department. However, this doesn’t mean they don’t need high level, skilled talent to produce successful business branding and product marketing campaigns, write content, and boost their company to mainstream visibility.

The Solution: A one-stop online/offline marketing consultant agency that asked clients for zero deliverables. VIP Marketing Pros researches an industry to become a practical expert, investigating competitors and delving into every aspect of a business vertical and its customer base to become not just a virtual marketing department, but a partner in the company’s success. Our tagline is: “We make it our business to know your business.” Under my direction, a comprehensive team of expert professionals can swiftly and effectively create, design, execute and manage all online/offline strategies. I tell my clients, “Just give us the GREEN LIGHT and watch us GO!”

Our Mission: We exist to bring real, measurable marketing value to each of our clients and to do it in such a way that the message retains and communicates their core values. Some of our potential clients have gotten on the line for an introductory call, then been blown away a few weeks later when the follow up call turns into a presentation – not just of a proposed marketing plan, but a turn-key solution to all of their needs, including a fully built out website with content, graphic design, and social media support. (The usual reaction? “How fast can you make this LIVE?!” We get a real kick out of this reaction, which is why we keep putting the gas pedal down before the light even turns green.)

Our Ideal Partners: We don’t work with just anyone; our business model won’t allow it. Our ideal partners fit into one of the following categories: small or medium-sized businesses (SMBs); small and medium enterprises (SMEs, also known as the “mid-market” companies) and large enterprises. We look for C-suite executives who understand that marketing is a dynamic process, but are simply too consumed by their many responsibilities that preclude them from exploring fresh new strategies to define themselves online and offline. The organization may or may not have an internal marketing department, but it will most certainly lack time to invest in staying on top of cutting edge marketing trends and techniques. More importantly, we prefer clients who understand our need to get into their heads to deliver the most effective of marketing strategies.
