Today we’d like to introduce you to Fiorella Rosales.
Hi Fiorella, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am originally from Lima, Peru, I moved to Australia when I was 18 to go to college where I studied Hotel and Tourism Management and Communications. After college I moved to Italy to do a Masters in Coffee Economics and Science because my family worked in that field back in Peru, followed by an internship at illycaffe in Barcelona, Spain. After that wonderful experience in Europe, I finally moved to Miami to do an MBA at the University of Miami. Upon graduation I started working for one of the world’s largest luxury conglomerates, the Richemont Group, where I did Public Relations and Marketing for IWC Schaffhausen luxury watches. During this time I continued traveling the world, specially South America and Switzerland while promoting and learning about luxury products and creating unique experiences for clients. The later was the most important element – how to create a genuine connection with clients, learning about their particular tastes, their families and what’s important to them, and as a result offer them something they cannot get anywhere else, customized service and experiences.
After some years I moved to another luxury group, the Swatch Group, where I worked for another luxury watch company during the pandemic; however I wanted to experience providing luxury experiences from the hospitality sector and I transitioned into Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club, in Surfside, as their PR and Partnerships Director. Within this position I continued learning about the importance of excellent service and built several partnerships for the hotel from fashion brands to museums.
Even though my journey within the corporate world was on the rise I always had a desire and inclination to become an entrepreneur like my parents. I knew that it would be a challenge as I was used to corporate life however I was ready. During all these years in Miami I had become more interested in wellness and fitness and started going to JETSET Pilates and playing padel several times a week. While going to JETSET Pilates in Sunset Harbour (the closest one to my house) I became in love with the work out, the community and the vibe. I only wished I had one closer to my house, and I started thinking how great and fulfilling it would be to own a JETSET. After going to JETSET for a year and I half I received an email that they were starting to franchise and I immediately jumped on the opportunity together with my sister Fabiola. Together we formed the business, got a loan, and decided to bring JETSET closer to us in North Miami (we live in Surfside). After many challenges and learnings specially about the build out process and permits, we finally opened our doors on December 26, 2024, – after 9 months of our expected opening date. Within that process of building the studio we also had our instructors’ training and I became an instructor myself.
Today we are approaching 6 months of opening JETSET Pilates North Miami and we are absolutely thrilled to have brought the JETSET Pilates workout to this area, built a beautiful and welcoming community, and have connected with our wonderful clients that all live in nearby areas including Miami Shores, Bay Harbor, Surfside, Bal Harbor and more. We continue to forge these beautiful relationships and want to only offer excellence to our clients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We encountered many obstacles while building the space, from having to change the location of our AC which meant redesigning part of our plans, to having to deal with issues of the building, to delays in different types of installations and permit. All those unexpected incidents caused our opening date to be delayed, which of course caused a lot of frustration to my sister and I, and our clients that were waiting for the studio to open.

We participate in different charities and events where we donate classes at our North Miami studio.
In addition, we are so proud to have built a beautiful community, where our clients feel safe and energized, and to have brought an amazing workout to an area the lacked fitness and pilates workouts (there’s few fitness clubs in the Surfside, Bal Harbour, North Miami areas).

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Ask questions, any question you may have, especially in those areas you are not familiar with.
Focus on the big picture, and do not get discouraged with the obstacles you will encounter – it will only make you more prepared, smarter and stronger.
