Today we’d like to introduce you to Jackie Vila.
Hi Jackie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been passionate about the human body—not just how it moves, but how it heals, adapts, and transforms. I started my career as a certified personal trainer, passionate about movement and performance—but it wasn’t until I worked in clinical healthcare settings that I realized how deeply disconnected our systems are. While training clients by day, I was also working in step-down clinics and behavioral health programs, supporting patients transitioning out of residential treatment for eating disorders.
I saw firsthand how difficult that transition was—patients suddenly had access to grocery stores, gyms, and “freedom,” but no real-world tools or education to navigate it. So many were forced back into treatment, not because they lacked willpower, but because they lacked guidance. It broke my heart to see the same cycle repeat.
I also worked in clinical environments where patients were hospitalized repeatedly for preventable conditions. If they’d had access to proper coaching, structure, and lifestyle tools—nutrition, movement, behavioral support—they could’ve avoided chronic hospitalizations entirely. That’s when it clicked for me: we don’t need more band-aids; we need a bridge. I made it my mission to close that gap.
That’s how CoreClinical was born—a performance and wellness brand built on evidence-based care, movement science, and the belief that fitness and nutrition aren’t just aesthetic tools, they’re preventative medicine. My vision is to provide that missing link between training and treatment, performance and prevention. It’s not just about working out or eating “clean”—it’s about restoring balance in a person’s entire system. Whether I’m leading outdoor workout classes, offering in-home performance coaching, servicing patients in recovery, or supporting hospital staff, through lifestyle-based wellness, I’m building something that speaks to the core of who people are, not just what they look like.
Even though I’m based in New York, Miami has always been a city that inspires me. The culture, the ambition, the energy—it’s where I envisioned the next evolution of my business. I spend a lot of time here, which is why I’ve planted CoreClinical roots in this city.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been anything but smooth, and honestly—I wouldn’t want it any other way. Entrepreneurship strips you down and shows you every insecurity and fear you didn’t know you had. I’ve dealt with financial strains, imposter syndrome, burnout, and moments of total self-doubt. There were times I was working multiple jobs, training clients out of borrowed spaces, and trying to build a brand before I even had a business card.
What’s been the most difficult is building something meaningful without outside funding. I had to learn the legal, marketing, and operational ends of my business from scratch. I’ve been ghosted by potential collaborators, copied by competitors, and have been underestimated more times than I can count. But every step taught me how to move smarter, not just harder.
Now I use those lessons to empower my clients—especially women—to push past limits and get real results, physically and personally. CoreClinical is proof that you can build something beautiful out of grit, vision, and relentless self-belief.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the founder and CEO of CoreClinical, a holistic wellness and performance brand that blends science-based fitness training and personalized nutrition coaching to help clients elevate their health. My services are rooted in evidence-informed strategies typically used in clinical or performance settings—translated into real-life coaching that’s accessible, motivating, and results-driven.
What sets CoreClinical apart is the clinical lens I apply to non-clinical services. That means tracking biofeedback, customizing nutrition and training needs based on health history, addressing metabolic dysfunction through movement and lifestyle, and operating with the same level of care you’d expect from a wellness clinic—even though we’re outside the four hospital walls. Its wellness with a white-coat standard, delivered with soul.
I’m especially proud of bridging the gap between what people want—to look, feel, and perform better—and what they actually need—strategic support grounded in science. I’ve worked in multiple health settings, seen how broken systems affect long-term wellness, and decided to create something that empowers people from the inside out.
This isn’t just workouts and macros. It’s evidence-based coaching that respects your physiology, your goals, and your life. That’s what CoreClinical is here to do.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I believe we’re heading toward a complete fusion of fitness, healthcare, and lifestyle coaching. The days of isolated personal training sessions are fading. People are looking for holistic, science-driven approaches that fit into real life. Clients don’t just want a workout anymore- they want accountability, mental clarity, metabolic resilience, and sustainable structure.
I also see a rise in mobile and concierge wellness- services that meet people where they are, whether that’s at home, in the gym, or virtually.
And with the increasing demand for services like IV hydration, recovery therapy, and sports nutrition, I believe brands that can blend clinical credibility with lifestyle accessibility are going to dominate the next decade. That’s where CoreClinical comes in.
We’re not just building bodies—we’re building systems for long-term vitality. And whether I’m doing that in New York, Miami, or wherever CoreClinical expands next, I’m here for the long game.
