Today we’d like to introduce you to Yudaris Perez.
Hi Yudaris, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Yudi I’m a 34-year-old Cuban woman, a mom, content creator, and proud business owner. I moved to the United States three years ago with my family, fulfilling one of my biggest dreams. But soon after arriving, I was faced with one of life’s most painful challenges: my father was diagnosed with cancer. We only had a little over a year with him, and even now, the grief is deep.
Still, I chose to transform that pain into purpose. Honoring the dreams he had for me has become my biggest motivation. I’ve been creating content for over five years, but about a year ago, I decided to take it seriously and pursue it professionally.
Since then, my life has changed dramatically. I went from working for others often in environments where I didn’t speak the language or wasn’t treated well to building a life where I can work from home, grow my own brand, and be fully present for my son.
Today, I not only create content for brands including some I never imagined I’d work with but I also help local businesses grow by managing their social media presence. Being able to support and uplift others while doing something I love is a blessing I don’t take for granted.
It hasn’t been easy there have been sleepless nights, long workdays, and countless sacrifices. But every effort feels worth it because I’m working for my own dreams, for my son, and for the future we deserve.
I’m endlessly grateful to God for this journey for the freedom, the lessons, the growth, and the chance to inspire others simply by staying true to who I am.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Moving to a new country without speaking the language, without resources, and without knowing how things worked here was already a big challenge. But the hardest part was trying to build a new life while going through one of the most painful experiences of my life losing my father shortly after arriving in the U.S.
On top of that, starting from zero meant working in jobs where I wasn’t always treated with respect, constantly feeling undervalued and overworked. Balancing motherhood, grief, cultural adaptation, and the financial pressure of starting over wasn’t easy.
I also struggled with self-doubt wondering if I could really make a living doing what I love. There were many nights where I worked until 3 or 4 a.m., learning, creating, and building something out of nothing. But I kept going, knowing that every step forward no matter how small was shaping the life I dreamed of.
These challenges made me stronger. They taught me to believe in myself, to trust the process, and to stay rooted in gratitude and purpose.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a full-time content creator, social media manager, hair stylist, makeup artist, and entrepreneur and I’m also a trained doctor from Cuba. My journey has been anything but traditional, and that’s exactly what makes my work so unique.
I specialize in creating relatable, engaging content across beauty, lifestyle, and comedy. From hair transformations to daily routines, brand partnerships, and inspirational posts, I use my platform to connect with real women through authenticity and value. I’ve worked with both global brands and small local businesses, always creating content with heart.
I’m also a professional hairstylist and makeup artist, offering personalized beauty services that highlight natural confidence. I love making women feel empowered whether it’s through a glam look, a powerful reel, or a heartfelt message.
In addition, I manage social media for several local businesses, helping them grow their online presence through strategy, content, and connection. And I recently launched my own jewelry business, where I bring my love for detail, style, and feminine energy into every piece I curate.
What sets me apart is my versatility I’m not just one thing. I’m a creator, a professional, a mom, a Cuban woman building her dreams from scratch. I lead with passion, resilience, and realness. And that’s what people remember when they work with me or follow my journey.
Any big plans?
My future plans are centered around continued growth both personally and professionally. I’m currently working on expanding my online courses and private mentorship programs to help other women become content creators, grow their social media, and build their own businesses from scratch, just like I did.
I’m also developing my own skincare and beauty product line, with a focus on clean, minimal ingredients and self-confidence. This has been a dream of mine for years, and I’m excited to finally be turning it into reality.
In addition, I want to keep growing my jewelry brand and open a small physical space that brings together all my passions beauty, content creation, community, and style.
More than anything, I want to keep building a life with freedom, purpose, and joy. I look forward to creating more impact, helping others, and continuing to honor my journey while staying close to the values and the people I love most.
