Today we’d like to introduce you to Enri Costa.
Hi Enri , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m an independent artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in Miami. I started making music as a form of personal expression — writing, recording, and producing everything myself. Over time, I developed a sound that blends emotional honesty with genre-fluid production.
I just released my first song in English called “Dim the Lights,” I wanted to create a song that felt sad in its message but hopeful in its sound — something you could feel deeply, but still move to. It’s the first release where I really leaned into contrast: melancholic lyrics over a pop-driven beat. That balance reflects where I am as an artist — emotionally raw, but always reaching for light through sound.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely been an interesting journey, one I’ve truly enjoyed. There are always bumps along the way, whether it’s creative blocks or technical challenges. But somehow, I always find a way to push through — to finish the song, write that last lyric, or find the missing chord. Those struggles are part of the process, and honestly, they’ve shaped my sound and made each track more meaningful.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Venezuelan artist based in Miami, and my work is all about blending my roots into something fresh. I like to think of my music as a melting pot of genres and ideas — pulling from Latin rhythms, soul, pop, and whatever else feels honest in the moment. Beyond my own music, I also produce and write for other artists, which gives me another outlet to explore different sounds and voices.
I’m most proud every time I release a song. It’s not about numbers — it’s the feeling of bringing an idea to life and putting something real into the world. That alone makes me feel successful in my own way.
What sets me apart is my attention to detail. I love shaping every element of a track so that each part shines — without overpowering the others. It’s all about balance and emotion, making sure everything feels intentional but still flows naturally.
How do you define success?
I define success as a feeling of accomplishment — especially when I complete a creative cycle. That’s why, for me, releasing a song is a true marker of success. It means I saw something through from start to finish: the writing, producing, overthinking, doubting, and finally letting it go. That moment of release is where I feel most fulfilled, because it’s proof that I followed through on something meaningful.
