Life & Work with Christine Torres of Doral

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Torres.

Hi Christine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Salta: Conception to Fruition is a collection of journals for the woman writing her legacy with God – her procreation story!
This small business was crafted by Christine, an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician Assistant, specialized in women’s health and trained in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. From the very beginning of her career, Christine has dedicated herself to encouraging women through the rhythms of womanhood – believing deeply that medicine and faith can work together harmoniously to bring hope during some of life’s most sacred and vulnerable moments.

While caring for countless women on their fertility journey, she noticed a familiar pattern: rummaging for medication lists, shuffling through appointment cards, fumbling with ovulation predictor kits and urine pregnancy sticks, all adding to the stress of navigating an already unfamiliar road. Christine felt a calling to bring clarity and beauty to the process. Out of her love for medicine and her love for Jesus, the Salta Collection was created – a purpose-driven series of journals designed to guide couples through conception, pregnancy and postnatal seasons with intentionality, reflection and faith, walking with you through the waiting and the promise fulfilled.

At Salta’s core is its heart for legacy. Each journal is more than a tool to track appointments or medications – it becomes a testament of faith and perseverance. One day, parents will be able to place this journal into the hands of their child – the one they once prayed for – as they read the fulfillment of the journey, their Legacy Letter. There, they will find a love note written by their parents before they were ever conceived – a reminder of the prayers, the hopes and the unwavering love that preceded their arrival.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Since starting our small business, Salta has felt like a mission to nurture and cultivate with care. The journey has not always been easy and its purpose carries weight. Balancing the demands of full-time work as an OBGYN PA in caring for the underserved, while also building a small business with excellence, has had its challenges.

Even still, our mission remains clear: for Salta to reach the hearts and hands of every woman it was created for. The Fertility Tracker is so precious as the first installment of the Salta Collection.

We are dedicated to develop the series with creativity and divine vision. Our hopes are to release the Pregnancy Planner and Postnatal Journal at just the right time!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As an OBGYN Physician Assistant, Christine provides compassionate medical care to underserved women in the heart of Hialeah. Her passion lies in teaching her patients about their bodies and the female reproductive system, empowering them through knowledge. Fertility management holds a special place in her heart, finding deep purpose sharing in the joy of her patients’ pregnancy success stories. This very passion is what inspired the Salta Collection.

Beyond her clinical practice – which ranges from preconception counseling and fertility treatment to gynecologic, prenatal and postnatal care – Christine curated Salta as a tool, offering couples guidance and hope in growing their families.

Salta is more than a luxury paper product; it’s an heirloom, a journal that will hold your miracle story. Involving the Creator in the process of procreation just makes sense. There is beauty found in the harmony of reproductive health and the divine touch of God. Practically, you can find structure in the fertility tracking process. Spiritually, you will experience hope in the waiting and a present reminder that God’s perfect timing is always at work.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
The greatest source of inspiration for Salta has been the Bible. The name Salta itself was inspired by Luke 1:41 — “At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her!” This verse captures the divine joy and sacredness of life. The beauty of encountering the presence of Jesus provokes a joyful response! Salta, verb [sahl-ta] 1. Spanish meaning: to jump; leap.

The first installment to the Salta Collection, our Fertility Tracker, opens with the confession of a miracle: “For this child I have prayed” 1 Samuel 1:27 (KJV). Mindfulness and prayer are woven into the journal.

Alongside faith, Salta also draws from the most current medical journals and scientific literature in women’s health. Advances in medicine are constantly evolving and maintaining up-to-date, evidence-based medicine is essential for providing the highest standard of care.
