With over 20 years of experience as a dedicated entrepreneur, I have successfully launched and operated multiple businesses across various industries, consistently driven by a passion for growth and innovation. My latest venture, Lashed954, is a thriving local lash spa and beauty destination that reflects my commitment to excellence and client care. Located in the heart of the community, Lashed954 offers a wide range of esthetic services—from expert lash extensions to skincare treatments—alongside a well-stocked lash supply store for professionals. This new chapter continues my legacy of empowering others through beauty, business, and high-quality service
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Opening Lashed954 came with its share of challenges, from securing the right location and navigating zoning regulations to building a trusted team that shared my vision for quality and client care. One of the biggest hurdles was balancing the demands of launching a new business while managing existing ventures, all during a time of economic uncertainty and shifting beauty industry trends. There were moments of doubt and unexpected setbacks, but through perseverance, strategic planning, and leaning on my years of entrepreneurial experience, I was able to overcome each obstacle. Today, Lashed954 stands as a testament to resilience, passion, and the belief that challenges are simply stepping stones to success

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
What were you like growing up? Personality wise, interest wise, etc.
Growing up in a Jamaican household? Let’s just say there was never a dull moment. I was the child who always had something to say—loud, curious, full of energy, and definitely the one getting side-eyes from aunties for asking “too much questions.” (You know the look—the look.)
Faith was and still is a big part of my life. I grew up going to church, and that’s where I learned everything from discipline to how to sit still for three-hour services (well… almost). Sunday dinners were a whole production—rice and peas, oxtail, fried plantain, and laughter that could shake the walls. My family is the heartbeat of who I am, and those roots are woven into everything I do today.
Personality wise, I was always a little extra—in the best way. I’ve always loved beauty, creativity, and taking care of people. Whether it was doing my sisters’ hair or trying to “glam up” my Barbie dolls with scraps of fabric and coconut oil (yes, coconut oil was everywhere), I was drawn to anything that involved artistry and expression.
Looking back, I guess God was prepping me early for the beauty business and the entrepreneurial life
