Life & Work with Ruth Anite Casseus of Plantation, fl

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ruth Anite Casseus.

Hi Ruth Anite , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my journey in event planning out of a genuine passion for helping people create unforgettable memories. Growing up as a Haitian American, my mother owned a wedding store—still open today—and I would spend countless afternoons there after school, watching her bring joy to so many brides and families. Being in that environment sparked something in me early on. I learned the importance of attention to detail, customer care, and the beauty of celebration.

For me, it’s also deeply important to give back to my community by providing event planning services that are affordable and accessible to all. That foundation, combined with my own creative vision and dedication, is what led me to build my business and support families in celebrating their special moments without breaking the bank.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t always been smooth, but every challenge has been a valuable learning experience. One of the biggest struggles was finding ways to offer quality event planning services at prices that are affordable for my community while still sustaining a growing business. Balancing the creative side with the business side required patience and continuous learning.

Additionally, breaking into the event planning industry took time and persistence, especially as a Haitian American woman wanting to serve my community in a meaningful way. However, each obstacle strengthened my commitment and helped me develop solutions that have made my business more resilient and customer-focused.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in creating personalized and memorable event experiences, focusing primarily on weddings, celebrations, and community gatherings. What I’m most known for is my attention to detail, creativity, and genuine care for each client’s unique vision and needs. I work closely with clients to bring their dreams to life while ensuring the process is smooth and enjoyable.

What sets me apart is my deep connection to my Haitian American community and my commitment to making quality event planning accessible and affordable for everyone. I take pride in blending cultural richness with modern elegance to create events that truly resonate.

I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me and the joy I get from seeing their celebrations come to life beautifully. Helping people mark their special moments in ways that feel both personal and unforgettable is the most rewarding part of my work.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that you have to truly enjoy what you do. When your work comes from a place of passion and genuine care, it shows in everything you create. If you’re only doing it for the money, it’s hard to stay motivated and deliver your best. Loving what you do keeps you inspired, helps you overcome challenges, and ultimately leads to more meaningful and successful results.
