Hi Tara, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Tara Delano the visionary behind Tara Lynn Events – After graduating college and working in the hospitality industry I landed my first post college job as an event coordinator in the travel and entertainment industry traveling and producing destination weddings (for 200 + guests in Mexico and the DR). At the age of 22 I started the business travel sector at my company after gaining knowledge on the industry at a conference in Las Vegas. Shortly after I decided to move to South Florida where I took a job as an event coordinator for a new rooftop venue in Miami. I was hired at this venue to build out their event programming, by ferociously building my network in Miami and using my previous network in the travel industry I not only built a successful events program at the venue but also produced 1.5 Million in event sales while working there. As the only team member in the event’s role my responsibility went from client outreach to closing sales to producing the events. Hosting high profile events including the LVMH Christian DIOR holiday party, Michelob Ultra for the FIFA World Cup, IHG Hotels, Strategic hotels and resorts, Design hotels, and Bank of America to name a few. I also produced off site activations with the owner of the venue for Formula One yacht club, and a pop up restaurant in Ibiza. After producing successfully and making my mark in the events industry in Miami I began to gain my own clients and decided to make the jump to build my own business and dream. Tara Lynn Events was founded in September of 2024 as a wedding and event planning company which later also grew into an event staffing agency. We are now a full service event planning and staffing agency producing and staffing high profile events in both Miami and New York!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has not been easy but I am enjoying every step of the way. One of the largest challenges as an entrepreneur is juggling all of the aspects of business on your own and no matter how difficult times can be you have to continue to be resilient because no one will create your dream for you.
