Today we’d like to introduce you to Hindy Meredith.
Hi Hindy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a 58 year young, mother, grandmother, yoga practitioner and Real Estate Agent.
Most of my adult career was spent in marketing and business development but I mainly focused on helping my partner’s business grow.
Even though my main job was being a mom, I also worked very hard at boosting their business.
After my kids grew up and moved away and I became the proverbial “empty nester” I felt I needed a change in my life.
The space my “mom life” had filled was gone and in its place there was a void. I decided it was the perfect time to find out if in fact I had what it takes to build my own business.
Now I had the time, some financial stability and a burning desire to find out if I really had what it took to build my own brand and business.
I grew up next to an entrepreneurial father who taught me a lot about business but I never had the chance to implement his teachings for myself.
I had always helped others build their dream so it was time for my dream to come alive.
So at 58 I decided to take on a professional challenge.
I chose to become a Real Estate Agent and to dive into the real estate industry in Florida.
I have to say, this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I love all the people I work with.
I love the challenge of making my mark in an industry that is highly competitive and I love that I have my Dad’s teachings to guide me every step of the way.
At my age I fully understand that life, work and success are not a sprint but an endurance race and that instead of trying to do everything all at once it’s better to just focus on putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward one step at a time, each day.
So long story short. My message to all my fellow women out there who are not sure what to do next, who now have time to pursuit a dream or a challenge, believe me when I say, you can start any new adventure regardless of your age and you can use all the organizational and leadership skills you used to run a household for your own personal and financial growth.
So, cheers to all my 50+ women out there considering a new start! Not only can it be done but it must be done!
Time is of the essence!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The most challenging part of this new career has been the many different platforms, computer programs and marketing venues that now dominate the real estate industry and can be time consuming to learn. On the positive side, it’s good to learn new skills and keep up with new technology.

I am Real Estate Agent and part of an amazing team. I am passionate about helping new homebuyers find and get their dream first home.
I truly care and enjoy working with people. The right home is the most important investment we can make and I love that I can help people through this process.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I have had so many supporters, mentors and cheerleaders. I am specially grateful to my Dad who passed away two years ago was my most important teacher.
He taught me everything I know about business and to my family who supports me every step of the way and encourages me to keep growing.
